ALL THREE RELIGIONS are rooted in Abraham, the father of ALL THREE FAITHS. And yet, we fight as if timeless enemies.

Thats why I say, all war has a basis in religion.

trouble with that Craig, is, as you know, I follow gnostic christian practices which are not common to all religions and neither is Eckankar.

I am speaking of BASIC MORAL TRUTHS here.

There is a reason, that the "Golden Rule" is found in virtually all relgions of the world in one form or another. It is a sacred truth. When you find religions teaching principles of "loving one another" and "serving one another" and "forgiveness" you can be assured, these are inspirations of God, the origin of life, and the source and fountain of love.

As long as we keep talking about it and doing the things that are common in all, at least in theory, love and do no harm, we will be fine in the end.

is that not the same as what you say?

This is not about religion. This is about the selfish nature of man.

The relationship I spoke of, being related to Abraham, SHOULD BE a basis for a profound BROTHERHOOD as a basis for world peace and restoring the FAMILY of mankind.

It is SELFISH PEOPLE and CONCEITED PEOPLE, and PEOPLE NOT IN TUNE WITH THE LOVE OF GOD, that PERVERT what could and SHOULD, be an instrument for our well-being and goodness.

Rocks are useful tools for many things. They can also be weapons.

It is not the fault of the ROCK for how it is used.

But because the rock exists, it is the basis for its misuse.

It is only ORGANIZED RELIGIONS i condemn, not the foundation behind them

Unless you mistyped. What is the point of that statement?

Bullsh*t

Your own religion is organized. Your title is a PURELY religious designation. You are simply opposed to OTHER organized religions, just as they are. In that sense, you are the same. You just have a different theology. One YOU have decided is true, and superior to theirs. This is EXACTLY what they believe as well.

Are you really helping to change anything? Or just following in well worn footsteps?

My own title is only for secular purposes, the secular world wont recognize a marriage without a title and registry with the state. Cant do that without a church behind it and that is the ONLY purpose for the "structure" of the church. We have no physical buildings, we have no possessions, we don't accept money, we are nothing like an organized religion.

We do have different theology, but each and every member in our "church" believes in what they see for themselves, and the picture is not always the same within the group. The basis is the same.

When I say all wars have a basis in religion, I mean that all wars stem from beliefs of the leaders that are based on their own, or the elected or non-elected dictator or group's, religious beliefs are. All issues are disputed based on personal belief which stems from personal belief of morality which is the basis for faith, therefore, all things, good and bad, are based in ones interpretation of morality, and morality is the bastard child of religious beliefs. I say bastard child because it has been tossed about and abused based on the teachings of each individual religion.

Mike,

Your religion is no different from myriad others.

You have titles, texts, holy dates, observances, a heirarchical order. The list goes on.

Religion is a tool, but also a crutch and a prop.

It can be valuable or used as an instrument for destruction. Like any tool or weapon, it is the wielder of the device that determines it's purpose in reality.

God hastens the day, when religion is no longer necessary at all, the day when love alone guides the hearts of his children, and the day when religion and even rules themselves become meaningless and unecessary.

That day is coming.

But not before a great deal of grief for makind.
