Hey MMV! AKA Mr Saracasm!
I took a listen to I like it when it rains. And IMO... the song is too long. I think that the rain and bird chirps are a little much. Would be neat to hear the rain and then have the music fade in and out to the rain again, once again just IMO.
As far as your voice, you have a smooth voice. I liked the chorus, but there were parts that it was difficult to understand what you were saying.
I like the music a lot and feel like this is a song that you could really get into singing and make the chorus more of a power area of the song.
I would love feedback on any of my vocals. I have a few posted on myspace.com/jacqueerae and especially the vocals on the song Waiting on myspace.com/alteredvisions07

I have one on here too, but I think you may have already gave me some feedback on it.

Oh yeah and I asked you to be my friend. I thought I already had, but apparently I did not. (I would have posted a comment on there too! :)

Hope this helps.

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE FEEDBACK. ITS VERY SPECIFIC AND I BELIEVE YOU ARE RIGHT ON. I EVEN THOUGHT THE SAME THING LISTENING TO IT. I'M A MUMBLER... REMEMBER THE SEINFELD EPISODE?
I ADMIT I HVE A PROBLEM... BAD ENUNCIATION.... I'M CHANGIN MY STAGE NAME TO MUMBLIN' MIKE.
I'LL JUST SAY MY THING IS BEING DRUNK. HEHE.
SERIOUSLY, THANKS FOR THE FEEDBACK... AFA RAIN... BUT I LOVE THE RAIN! THE BIRD CHIRPS WAS JUST SUPPOSED TO BE THE RAIN 'CLEARING UP' AS THE TONE OF THE SONG CHANGED... BUT I GUESS YER TELLING ME THAT ISN'T WORKIN FOR ME... THANKS FOR BEING HONEST... I RESPECT THE HELL OUTTA THAT.
AFA MYSPACE... ONE FREINDSHIP COMING UP!
I'LL DEF CHECK OUT A SONG OF YOURS TONITE AND DROP SOME FEEDBACK ON THIS THREAD. THANKS AGAIN!

I def agree about the bird chirping and the "mumbling"...but I think the rain works. And as far as song length...I was told that Bye Bye Miss American pie was played its original length on the radio the first time and some music "professionals" said it was too long so they cut it down. From what I am told people started calling the station and complaining that they wanted to hear the first version instead of the new shorter version. So...song length is a personal opinion I think. :-) I think there will inevitably be some people who think it is too long and others who think it is too short. But, all in all a great job on that song.

As far as the "mumbling"...I think I was told that it is usually cured by opening your mouth wide and relaxed.

HEY MMV!
Looks like you might have a contender for that Sarcasm award... yeah just open up your mouth wide to resolve the mumbling.
JR<~~~ cracking up here!
O'Yeah, while your at it, can you sing some Dancing Queen for me and Okra? hahahaha

ORDER UP...
"you can dance, you can dance oh,
having the time of your life... oooooh,
what's that scene... diggin' the dancing queen..."
AFA sarcasm... no offence to clint but i think irminsul and davis have the competition status locked up. they are both so damn good at it, and they both have such different styles. Truly two gifted individuals witt wise.

the irony of the idea of someone telling ME I need to open my mouth more... that is a good one.

I'll tell ya I wasn't thrilled with the 'don't know'. But then I realized you told me to listen to a dif one.

remindes me of the gal in the 80's (hush hush keep it down now voices carry). Sounds like your in tune. maybe need to compress the voc cause you don't back it(themic) away as you get louder but it's a nice tone and in tune.
Note choice in that one spot... it's on pitch I'm just not sure that a dif note from the scale wouldn't be a better choice. (you know the spot)
nice simple guitar riff going on in the back. I think the bass gtr is not bassy enough and it's kinda burried in the mix, but it's a nice bass riff and it should be more up front.
Wow, drums are so badly eqd that they almost sound like a drum machine... or it is a drum machine... I honestly can't tell. In rythm and on time which is what ya want but I'm guessing there was just an overhead mic on this one as it's kinda a room sound.
Hopefully you can use some of what I've said. It is all my honest opinion and hopefully none of it will come across as negative or sarcastic.
SARCASTIC POWERS ACTIVATE... I've got work to do... see ya.

Merci!!

But what gal in the 80s?! There were only a hundred.

Drums are drum machine, John is working to get a drummer on it. I just sang, it is his vision. :)
I really like Summer, take a listen if you have a chance. Once again that is all Altered Visions's music. I am working with him to sing on his tracks.
Don't want to take credit for something someone else did. ;)
