I'm with you, there, Mike. I've never had a neck warp in the 35+ yrs I've played, except once, when an el cheapo got drenched in a basement flood, & I had to toss it.

As far as stands go, I currently use the ones that stand on 3 legs, & you hang the axe by the head stock. I also have a "Huggy," which is pretty cool to look at, but a little weird for a Strat. Works well for my Dano or most Gibby's though.

I could build a lil thing like I described for Chippy, but I don't need it, myself.

The ones I never liked much were the stands that have that rubber band on 'em to hold the thing in to keep it from falling over. I always lose the rubber bands, & they stand up too vertical to be safe for your guitar. I see 'em everywhere, but I won't use them.

Can you point out the one thats in tune?

Pick one. They're all in tune. Even the ones in open D and open G...

I'm in agreement with mike and philby, I've never seen any neck warpage caused by a guitar stand, and like them I've kept my guitars on the common tripod type stands with a neck rest for over 30 years, finally got the 7 guitar stand because I didn't have enough room for all the individual stands. That one stand holds 7 guitars in the floor space needed for two regular stands, that makes a huge difference onstage and in the music room.

Oh and I was serious with my first comment, they are all in tune, always. Most of them stay in tune quite well, even when transported to different locations. Usually the strat and the Cort will need only minor tuning if any when I go somewhere else, unless the temperature changes a lot. The black tele copy holds its tuning really well, and the Peavey Patriot is pretty good, but it's the most sensitive to temperature changes. Two degrees difference and it's gone bye bye. An AC vent above me onstage makes it almost unusable.

Thanks Rat.
They are pretty cheap too thanks again.

I'll look at pricing on the other stuff and weigh options. Since the home made jobs are not glued they could work too.

Thanks for posting this. :D
