I LOVE my country Chippy!

That's why it's worth criticizing and above all, worth DEFENDING!

My problem with those who paint it completely rosey is that we are not completely rosey. We have made mistakes, like slavery, like supporting dictators in South America, among others.

My problem with it's critics, is that they tend to criticize it unrealistically. This country's faults SHOULD be criticized, but DON'T EVER, NOT EVER, forget that this nation has done more good in this world than any nation that has come before it. The examples this nation has shown stand as a beacon of light among the world's peoples. We have a standard that remains unmatched by any other government today, or throughout history.

If you had one child out of several hundred, for example, who actually studied diligently and worked hard and was straight A's, whereas the hundreds of others did not even come close to those grades. Would you really spend the bulk of your energy lambasting and putting down the ONE KID who tried the hardest and achieved the most, simply because he got one B here or there? That would be irrational. And THAT is EXACTLY what extreme liberals and America haters do, when they spend an inordinant amount of time trashing this great nation.

The danger is, and what is occurring even now, is that people begin buying into a steady stream of bullsh*t and jump on the hate wagon. When you stop believing in your country, it weakens it more than any foreign invader ever could. When all you hear, is primarily negative, it changes your opinion of the object of that scorn. It harms your faith in it's good qualities. People begin to see it as being on par with other nations of the world, when it is NOT on par with ANY OTHER NATION.

It would be like making Tiger Woods a normal golpher, because it supposedly offends the other golfers that he is that good, and something unattainable. But the other golfers don't believe that he is unattainable. What they KNOW however, is that they must step up their game immensely to compete, to be in the same league. If you neuter Tiger, you harm the game of golf. If you lift up Tiger and admit his excellence, then he becomes the neccessary example to follow.

Do you want your country neutered? And made to be average and normal? Or do you want your nation to excell, and to be a light and example for the rest of the world to aspire to?

If you have 200 restaurants and most of them serve average food, but one serves excellent cuisine, do you go into that one good restaurant and bitch at the chef all day, because the food could be a little bit better? Or do you eat your meal in gratitude because that restaurant is open and available to you?

When you trash your nation on a consistent basis, and enough people join you, then the nation will eventually resemble what you claimed it was in the first place... pathetic, evil, stupid, ridiculous. It was NONE of those things to begin with, but enough voices can certainly create it to be so.

As long as my voice is louder than most everyone else's around me, I'll continue using it to fight the destruction from within, of the ONE beacon of light freedom has always had to depend upon!

There is NO OTHER nation like this one. And I assure you, the world will NEVER see another one like it.

Alexander the Great conquered the known world with his armies. When his voice was silenced. That empire fell. This truth holds for good and for ill, but there is always ONE VOICE that people rally around. One voice that they believe in. One unique voice that has something so powerful, so unmistakable, that it inspires others to follow. When that voice is vanquished, it may be a very very long time, before the world hears another like it.

Don't let America's voice be diminished by misplaced anger, or politicially correct parity. The world looks to us, because WE ARE that unique voice. If you aid in silencing it, history may not see another like it for a very very long time.

A minister inspires a congregation. A president inspires a nation. A nation can, and does, inspire this world.

Help that voice sing louder and clearer. DO NOT work to shut it up. The world will have hundreds of years to regret that decision. And regret it, they shall, when they discover there is no other nation capable or even desiring, of filling that void.

There is nothing misplaced about my anger or my outrage at the things I see on a daily basis.

It isn't that I am against all things American, but there's plenty to address here, before we go out to save the world.

I won't list all the stuff I find so offensive &/or ridiculous. I'll save you all from that. But the many things we've been discussing here in the forums are but a minute sample of what faces us today, & what we'll be paying for, tomorrow, if we fail to stand up to our problems & take care of them in an enlightened fashion.

The minutiae that we constantly contend with in every area of our lives needs to be reduced, so that our brains may work on the real troubles we have here. I mean, is it REALLY that important to censor a song? I think not.

But some self-righteous nitwit is sure to keep harping on the issue until other nit-pickers join in & can distract us from the path we should be on.

I have a whole bunch of "dangerous ideas" in my head, in some ppl's minds, & I will dare anyone to censor me for speaking out on them...or writing about them...or even singing about them...

I can do these things because I am an American, among other things. Of course that isn't to say that ppl can't do that elsewhere, either. We don't have a monopoly on freedom, you know, or good ideas, or much of anything else, for that matter...

I don't wanna neuter my country, Craig, but the occasional use of salt peter to reduce the zeal of the idjits is certainly called for...LOL

Is it possible for a kid to learn to sing & "play" a song on his Guitar Hero game that he CANNOT buy on CD at the same store where he got the game?

DUH...

Phil I feel your outrage about the censorship of what you speak.
Yet it is only the policy of a corporation. Not a law of any sort.
Much of the censorship of which Hayden spoke is law, and some just political pressure being applied by the industry at large.
A disturbing trend just the same.
Tis human nature. Really no different than can be observed in any Daycare center, where a vocal minority will determine if Barney or Micky Mouse gets watched on the TV.

Really? What law requires the book & movie industries to "include current and relative propaganda in order to be funded?"

If you find it, lemme know. I'll certainly do my personal best to make that stop!

The example of the milk snake story above is in a James Patterson book. He's one of the best selling authors that WalMart sells, & yes, I got the book there years ago. Try putting that in a song...would they sell it as it stood, or would they require it to be censored? A five year old kid can buy that book, even if he can't read it.

Twisted!

This is not the form of censorship I was refering to under the "law" comment.
I was discussing censorship in general. Such as nudity / sexual content.
Censorship is censorship.
In my way of looking at it the only good form of censorship is that which is practiced at a personal level.
Just turn the sh*t off.
Or in your case (and mine as well on other subjects) just dont shop there.

Phil,

My comments weren't directed at you brother. At our age, neuter, is not even a word we want to hear, let alone practice. LOL

You know I agree with you on censorship. You are right that it is inequitable in how they apply their selective censorship. I was only pointing out that it is not "ridiculous" because their decision has more to do with profits and the bottom line, than fairness.

Censorship is scary, because there never seems to be an end to it. Let's go after "this". Then when they get that, suddenly, they lower it further to the next thing, and the next.

It's like nudity.

It is MAN that puts the sin in nudity. Not God.

I guarantee you that people who grow up as nudists, are less overcome with temptation by seeing a naked body, then a more puritanical person would be, if they were to see the same thing. When you see it as natural, and see it on a daily basis, it becomes no big deal. Tribal people don't lust out of their minds because a woman is walking around with her breasts exposed. ALL the women there, have their breasts exposed. It is like seeing people in sneakers. It's no big deal.

The big deal comes from our COVERING it, and HIDING it. Now it becomes unusual to see someone in the buff, and it becomes selacious. It is our natural curiosity to want to seek out the hidden things.

The proof that what I am saying is true is quite simple...

In America, seeing women in sexy garments or thong bikinis is nothing, and common place. But if a woman were to lie on the ground and spread her legs and you could see her vagina fully exposed. It would be a shock, and offensive to many.

But in a very strict Muslim country where the Burka is worn to hide women's features, covering even the face of the woman, then if she were to show her lips or her hair, those around would have the identical reaction of shock and offense.

Clearly these physical acts are at very different extremes, one being a fully exposed vagina, and the other, merely part of a face showing. Yet the people around would have identical reactions in their respective countries.

The "sin" is coming from COVERING the body. We are still not used to seeing fully exposed vaginas in public, so it is a disgrace and sinful, and attracts people's attention. But in a place where EVERYTHING is covered, showing a little part of the face, may as well be as salacious "to them" as seeing a fully exposed vagina.

Is there an absolute here? Clearly not. So how can this be from God? It is only MAN'S assessment, seeing something out of the ordinary, making this "sin".

In all liklihood, as people evolved and learned to make clothes from animal skins, they covered the most sensitive spots for protection. Who wants a leapord chopping off his penis in one simple move? LOL

And as time progresses, and people are only used to seeing those parts covered, it becomes unusual to see anything but that, and children question: "Why are we not supposed to walk around with our peckers hanging out?" and no one remembers back tens of thousands of years as to how it started, so a myth is created around the event. Since they are all covering their genitals... hmmm... it must have something to do with sex. And a story teller or elder makes an assumption of why it would be so, and tells everyone this, and it becomes lore and history, and gets passed down to successive generations. To the point that it is no longer even questioned, after time.

Other cultures hear good stories from their trading partners, and they get incorporated into their own lore and legends. You'll find bits of ancient mythologies in everything. Similar stories, but names changed and slight circumstances changed to fit their own cultural backgrounds. It then gets assimilated into the new culture. All passed down, all of them the best explanations available at the time.

that is funny... but...

ALL DOCUMENTED:

Prescott Bush helped put Hitler and Mussolini in power.

Adolf Coors, Charlse Lindburg, David Rockeffeller, Henry Ford, the Rothchild's ect. ect. ect. supporters of Hitler and and the Nazi Agenda.

1500 Nazi scientist and leaders were smuggled into America by our government at the end of WW2. It was code named "Operation Paperclip"

gettin the connection yet?

You pretty much nailed it right on the head o the dick Sans!

Our own government is spying on us and all under the guise of "looking out for us" ... yes even spying on broke ass singer/songwriter's with a political opinion, even though they write zero politically based material; yes it is me that I'm speaking of. the last thing on my browser address is "USofficial"
it took me 3 days to remove it the "first time" and 7 month's this time. I am absolutely nobody... but since I post opinion's contrary toi their agenda and bring their lies into the light they see me as a threat worthy of eavesdropping on; that is all it takes with these paranoid and sinister shitbag's!
The Nazi'sd did the same and now we have them finally admitting the existance of hundreds of FEMA Camp's that are manned and stocked and have capacities of 10's of thousand's each.
At least 15000 Guillutine's and soldier's trained to use them
million's of stockpiled coffin's
180000 rail car's parked all over the country (chemical and stock cars)

gettin another connection now?

Um...connections...er...so you're saying that WalMart is spying on you with censored CD's? Or is it that the lil smiley face they use to drop prices in their commercials has a secret swastica arm band? Martha Stewart is a fascist, & all her towels have lil microphones in 'em? Prescott Bush is still alive in a jar at WalMart, under the CD case? If you drink Coors, you're subsidizing the new nazi movement? All our paperclips are spying on us? YOU're the secret US official, & they keep blowing your cover by labelling your browser address? Auschwitz was a FEMA camp?

CONNECTIONS!?!?!?

Why am I confused?

WAIT! It's a secret plot! They WANT to keep me confused so they can censor my CD's!

Connections.....I need to connect the dots .....................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................____________________I GOT IT!

Hayden,

I'm a little lost too here. But not much. What you stated about Bush's grandfather and Lindbergh and Henry Ford, et al, being nazi sympathizers, all true. None of this has been a secret.

Fema's martial law plans are also not a secret. People were bitchin' about this back with the manufactured Y2K scare.

But millions of coffins? And trains of chemicals? Are you suggesting that the government is planning a biological attack on it's own citizens? And guilluitines? Isn't that a little outdated?

Please clarify or just provide some links brother!

Would not surprise me. There is no limit to mans cruelty.
People watch the HISTORY CHANNEL about Nazi Germany as if it was some unusual occurence and can't / won't happen again. Instead of the microcosm of the reality of human existance.
Any true study of history reveals it is only a recurring plot where the names of both the innocent and the guilty change with time.

I hope they take the time to carve their own names on those coffins.
