I'm lying in bed Monday morning 2am, sick as a dog 102 degree fever. There's a thunderstorm off in the distance. Nothing really, a few flashes of lightning and then thunder, very far away really, then BOOM! A giant bolt of lightning, bright orange-red. The smoke detectors go off for a few seconds. I race outside running around the townhouse looking for fire and/or smoke. Thank God nothing. Next day one of my TV's is fried, my computer is fried (both were on surge protectors), an outlet is charred (miracle it didn't catch fire), my smoke detectors don't work (they are hard wired in). Talk about being scared to death. It was the biggest explosion of lightning I've ever seen or heard. We had minimal damage compared to some of my neighbors. All this when I'm delirious with fever. It's pouring rain outside and it's COLD compared to the day before. What a friggin week this has been. I hope your week's going better than mine...
