So MANY new websites, when will it end? Perhaps when every person on Earth has their very own website...
Best way for me / us to network is face to face. The odds of someone ouside a 60 mile radius being of much consequence (other than on a individual bases as many Bandmixers have help me emensly.) is pretty slim.
The goals and therefore the needs of musicians and bands varies greatly.
Sure we would pack up and drive to Dallas (+/- 120 miles) to play for a large Church or gathering ( probably a small one too ) But it would take $5K for us to be able to even consider leaving our dreaded day jobs for a week to play somewhere much further than that.
That may change when we have some well produced recordings to "go the distance for us" As for now, we are a live local band, and our best networking is done live and local.
