Just bought myself a brand new Gibson Les Paul Standard, Tobacco Sunbirst for my 50th yesterday... I know I can't afford it.. had to trade in a few axes but I really wanted this one for years and it's gonna sound awesome onstage! Don't have pics of it yet so I'll steal them from online

I am curious, how many axes went into the purchase of this and how much did you owe after the trade-ins. Oh, and Happy Birfday to yah!!! Did you get your AARP card yet?

Well I sold 2 of my guitars so wasn't stupid enough to trade it in for pennies With tax and all, the guitar was almost 3 grand.... So I got about $1,500.00 for my 2 guitars and I owe 1500.00

LOL... Holy Crap.... No wonder a lot of peeps have the Standard! This thing sounds and plays awesome! I have a beautiful Les Paul Classic and another LP Studio but they don't compare to this one... Well worth the sacrifice!
