Man...so much going on...

First of all, congrats J Haley, it's good to find out you're into another project so soon. I hope it works out. I was in agreement with Ratsass and Neanderpaul, be honest and maybe try for a trial period. I thought Craig had some great comments also.

And by the way it's good to have you back with us Craig Maxim.

But let me know when this thing in Atlanta starts up, I wanna be there. Sounds like one hell of a band.

Thanks guy's for all of your advise. I know I will always get valuable information here at BM. We had a grueling 5 hour rehearsal went thru almost all of the songs. I am going to have to cram for the first gig is on 8/15 I have just two weeks to get ready (learn about 40 songs) they are all pretty easy but it is new music and these are songs I have not heard before. This is not music that I would normally listen to. I am out of my element. I have thrown caution to the wind and baby I am going for it. 8)

Is 40 some magic number when joining a band? Didn't Kramer guy have to learn 40 when he joined up with his band also?

If you are playing in a cover band you will be expected to play for 4 hours say 9-1 0r 10-2. Thats roughly 4 45 minute sets or in our case 3 1 hr sets. 40 songs is about what it takes to do these sort of gigs.

Its not really a majic number but is probably the minimum amount of songs you need to have down for a cover gig.
