here's one no one will get:

"got him in the boat he measured sixty foot long
I was so damn impressed I had to write this song... fish on"

Ahah that's the easiest one of em all ... Fish On by Primus
Loves me some Les...

Here's one

You're sailing softly through the sun
in a broken stone age dawn.
You fly so high.

How bout this one?!?! Remember?!

I'm too sexy for my cat too sexy for my cat
Poor pu**y poor pu**y cat
I'm too sexy for my love too sexy for my love
Love's going to leave me

And I'm too sexy for this song

Or how bout this one...
Oh that boy of mine
By my side
The silver moon
And the evening tide
Oh some sweet day
Gonna take away
This hurting inside
Well I'll never be blue
My dreams come true

Or one of my all time favs...
Sittin' here resting my bones
And this loneliness won't leave me alone
It's two thousand miles I roamed
Just to make this dock my home

I have to agree with you about this being the funnest thread ever MMV.
Otis Redding did the original Dock of the Bay if my memory serves me correctly. Of course you are right on the 1st one and the middle one has actually been done a few times too.

Oh sorry my friend, I thought I already did answer....yes you are right - it was The Sex Pistols and the song is "God Save The Queen"

Added trivia - the London Symphony Orchestra performed a version of this tune, which ended up in the movie about the Sex Pistols called "The Great Rock and Roll Swindle".

Oops sorry I left ya hangin there... the hint was supposed to get you to think about Jeff Lynne>ELO>Magic

Here's an easy one... we actually cover this song hehe, it's on our myspace.

Sometime you pictured me, I'm walking too far ahead
You're callin' to me, I can't hear what you've said
You said, "Go slow, I fall behind"
The second hand unwinds...

Here you go Mike, This is a hard one. Not very many know this one. [We all came out to montreux, On the lake geneva shoreline. To make records with a mobile, We didnt have much time. Frank Zappa and the mothers, Were at the best place around.] Heres another. [Life is so strange, When its changing yes indeed. Well Ive seen the hard times, And the pressures been on me. But I keep on working, Like a working man do. And I got my act together, Gonna walk all over you.]
