I love the groove of the song. I've been a fan of The Roots ever since I saw the unplugged with Jay Z.

There's a band here in Vegas called Rhyme N Rhythm. We've played a couple of gigs with them, and they can go off pretty good. The best Rap is done with real band backing in my opinion. RNR uses some really good Jazz music in some of their songs.

Here's a vid for you:

Just thought I'd turn you on to a local Vegas favorite. They can really get a crowd jumpin. What do you think man?

lol!,wow, one opinion on bandmix?seriously?Shredd, that was a pretty slick tune you posted, nice and chill.
But the message of the Roots tune is about opening up to genres outside your safety bubble, and planting your "seed" in other places, instead of keeping it locked up in a single group of people like some musical fascist.
What fun is it putting your "seed" all over yourself while letting older forms of music become extinct?
In Woody Guthrie's mind, music was supposed to kill fascism not promote it.

Its a good tune however, I listened to some of the other work they do and just not my thang. And really, I have no idea what this song is about. Whatever it is it requires to much thinking.

The roots are so legit. So much credibility on so many levels.

Like the music.
Rap sux.
I dont like brussel sprouts either.
Does that make me a food fascist? LOL

Really, you have a right to your own musical taste and oppinions, but this PC business of running around calling everyone whom may disagree with you a fascist, is just too much.

I think it was way cool. They definitely listen to their own drummer. Did I say that right?

Just because I like a form of music or dont like a form of music doesnt change it from being some form of art.

In reality theres not much difference to me between the roots and britney spears. Music is music. No matter the genre.

This coming from an old school metal head, Im learning to embrace it all.

Thanks for posting the link!
