Sorry Sen, I for one dont think Metallica outdid Segar on Turn The Page. Both versions are great cause they both understood what the words meant have been there done that. I think those are done equally, and for me since Segar wrote it he gets the nod.

I think I already said somewhere in here that Lep is just using Taylor to reach a younger audience. Most people on here say what they say cause they dont personally like the deal. If you look at it from the third person, what difference does it matter. Is it the end of all good music as someone on here seemed to suggest. Probably not. Taylor is obviously a little out of her chosen genre, with that in mind I cant fault her performance. All in all its just an average performance of a big hit. And as Sen suggest they do look like they are having fun doing it. Did the earth move, no, but they did get a lot of views, and for that they can thank the Capt.

Yeah, the first time I heard that song I thought how terrible it would be to sell millions of records and play sold out concerts in front of thousands of screaming fans every week. What an awful life that must be...

Let's see. Haul equipment, unload it, set it up...about an hour and a half job. Play 4 or 5 hours then tear down and load up another hour. So, 7 1/2 hours for about $300 to $400.
Versus:
Travel the country and the world in plush bus or plane. Eat at the finest restaurants. Show up for the gig. Get dressed while roadies are finishing setting up equipment and doing soundcheck. Go out to screaming adoring fans, picking up your instruments that have already been tweaked and tuned by techs. Play 1 1/2 to 2 hour show, playing just your favorite tunes. Go out and party or go to bed while roadies are loading everything up. All for about 25 grand.

Hmmmm. That's a toughie! :)
