There's no more single-entity companies. I found this when I was looking at JBL's pro eqt website.
Harmon owns all these companies! Including AKG, Dbx, Lexicon, Crown, and Studer!

I forget.. Who owns Marshall amps? It's Warner Bros or CBS or somebody like that?

yeah.. so much for anti-trust and all the anti-monopoly regulations that ever existed are distant memories now.

Whats worse is that you have companies, like the big oil, who band together to artificially inflate prices and profits. Companies like CBS, who took the fender guitar and turned it into a sad and pathetic joke, and companies like Clear Channel who have turned radio into a drivel of mediocrity and facist propaganda.

Time to move to Canada

So true and so sad. The entire world is headed toward zero competition in the market place. I posted a while back about not letting your flappers wobble. A friend of mine does some plumbing work and a few of the parts are now only made in China and they are worthless junk. If he installs any parts from China he doesn't warranty his work. I really got pissed off when Anheuser Busch was sold to a foreign company. They STILL have billboards that proclaim Budweiser as the great American lager. Haven't drank any Anheuser Busch since the sell-off. My brother-in-law has worked in the semiconductor industry for decades. That industry is almost all but gone from America. He is unemployed and joked about learning Chinese. I told him it's not a bad idea. He'll have a better chance of getting some consulting work, but his commute would be a ball buster. Somehow Americans need to have a major grass roots movement and only buy products manufactured in America by Americans. I would never want the U.S. government to start any kind of trade war. That always leads to shooting wars. I'm talking about Americans on their own saying enough is enough.

That would've been sane maybe 20 years ago. These days? Not much of a difference.
Our guv seem to enjoy following the American's footsteps. Quite the smart one, eh?

Sam Walton had a good idea of carrying American only stuff, or as much as possible. Too bad his kids didnt share that ideal, and were just in it for the money. :x

Yeah, they probably buried him in a cheap plastic coffin from Taiwan or something. :)
