I wouldn't even try to take them to the SPCA. They're too hard to catch, except by trapping, & they're too mean to give away, even when they're weeks old.

Man.. 13 hr day and I'm beat down.

Philby, the kittens are still pretty young. They hiss and spit, but pretty easy to catch. It's all a front. They'd be great for kids, 'cause kids are meaner than cats any day. Hahaha.. In all honesty, get a kitten alone for a few days, and they have no choice but to trust someone, or something, and thus the taming begins. I've dealt with meaner kittens in my childhood that turned out just fine.

The mother cat is one of the nicest cats I've ever run across. I'm actually considering putting up the cash to get the cat fixed. My neighbor might be pretty heart-broken if I got rid of her. Uh..Let me just say this.. The old Italian lady next door has been there for over 40-years.. 40-years ago, Vegas was a small town. One important thing you learn here in Vegas is never make an Italian grandmother cry. If you catch my drift.

The blackest kitten I've ever seen. Should be adopted pretty quick. Still fits in the palm of one hand. Very tiny. You know you want one. You are now getting sleepy. You're sleeping. At the snap of my fingers you will awake and want it... Sleeeeppp.... *SNAP*

Watch out for ringworms those semi ferral cats are known to carry them. I know this from first hand experience you try to be nice and help out some helpless kittens and the next thing you know you are at the doctor shelling out more cash to get treated.

Defo two for death row. The green mile no less. No one will want them at all, they will join hundreds more who are also looking for something.

I won't comment on this any more since my head gets numbed by people loving Snakes, Crocs, Sharks. All of whom apparently deserve to live. No offence ok Shredd. Difficult problem, I'd frankly report the people concerned come what may.

You only live once, so do they.

I had one cat, then 2. My wife had a few purebread Abysinnians. Now we have 30+ ferile cats on our land..the vet bill is staggering. I will never get to retire and we will never have this house paid off. But I have a strange belief that all life is equal and sacred. I can't kill anything alive. Call me strange, I don't care.
-edit- I do kill wasps and ticks and fleas and any bloodsucking fuucks..

You wont understand this point of view I'm sure. But I too love animals.
I also will put one down in a heart beat.
So much more so when I was younger. Hurts more now, grown old and soft I guess.
I have personally put down many of my pets. Dogs I,ve grown up with, and could no longer justify their suffering just to save myself a heartache.
Better at my loving hand than some vets office. I also hold those animals I take from the wild in high esteem. For they are I, and I am they.
It's the way I was raised by my father, and grandfather.

Yet at times when all else fails, a preemptive strike is the best move.
We always try to find homes for any furries that we are unable to meet the need for. (we spend a lot of our income feeding animals, my five large dogs protect my property quite well)
And we have one local shelter that does not uthinise.
Or so they say.

I talked to the owner of the house today (not the renters). He's an old man himself. Nice guy. He told me that the mother cat has been migrating. He believes it was owned by someone a block over who moved out. He said he tried feeding her, and she hung out for a while, but eventually migrated to my house after the kittens were born. Most likely to protect them from the Ferrel cats that visit his house. He told me that he was the one who brought the 3rd kitten over in the basket, because it was lost, eventually they found it, and thought it would be best to at least reunite it with the mother. He was under the impression that weening takes 3-months. And the kitten is nowhere near that.

I'm working something out with both neighbors in regards to the mother cat. There are actually 4 different neighbors (meaning 4-houses on my street) who are helping to figure something out as far as vet bills, shots, and getting her fixed. That's how much this street really like the cat. I'm telling you, it's the nicest cat you'll ever run across. She's definitely not ferrel.

The kittens however, have to either be given out, or taken to animal control. This neighborhood already has a ferrel cat problem, and so far we all agree that it will be the fate of these kittens if things stay the way they are now. If that's the case, they'll have to be trapped later on, and by then they definitely won't be adopted. Their biggest chance of being adopted is to take them in to animal control now while they're still little, cute, furry kitties. It's a bummer, but that's life. I don't like it any more than anyone else, but I have to be realistic.

Damned good show you spoke with them Shredd. If I were nearer I'd help for sure and that's a solid 'for sure'. Still a pity, there must be other options?

I can send you my dog buddy, he loves kittens.

One day my daughter came in and was havine a fit, she took me to the garage and Buddy was eating the last of some new born kittens. This dog is so weird. I can go to the garage in the middle of the night and turn the light on and a couple of the cats will be sleeping on top of him. The minute he sees me he turns into a dog and chases them out. I dont have a kitten problem around my house since i got him.

My wife and eldest son gave away the majority of our most recent batch of kittens by parking across the street from WalMart on a Saturday morning.
Most of the time, given an opportunity people will do the right thing.
When it comes to little animals anyway.
Dog fighters should be hung by the neck untill dead, then ground up for dog food.
