Mike you are crazy! In a good way. Havent seen that one in a long time, I like Mel Brooks. Yeah, I only care for certain songs by both bands, Disturbed & Godsmack. Later......
I will be the first to say that everyone is entitled to speak their feelings, thoughts, or emotions on music. Whether it is a song, band, album so fourth. So to sit back and think any different of someone for doing so would be childish. Although I feel that even though Panteras music might not have attracted everyone's ears, Darrell "Dimebag" Abbott brought a whole new approach to playing guitar in the metal would. Yes for some they might not have appreciated such a sound. But for some it did, it allowed not only for the artist to completely rock out, which is what the fans always did want. He brought a unique style to his material, which if you would ask any Pantera fan what they remembered the most about Dimebags playing, the first thing they would say, would be his unique harmonics, which created that amazing dive bomb squeal of his. So to make a long story short, he in some peoples eyes might not have been a Eddie Van Halen, but his memory will always be with his fans. To be frank, it always comes down to the fans, and without them we would never succeed in the first place.
as much as i liked pantera... lemme shut ya down with one sentence...
britanny spears has more fans than panterra ever did or will... do we really wan't to reduce ourselves to basing our assesment of good or bad on the fans alone?
I agree dimebag had some neato tricks... I would point to his rythm style more than anything. the odd timeing tricks he would do... the way he flips that cowboys riff around on you(rythmically) at the begining of cfh reminded me of some stuff van halen did. tis why I still like him.
and give some credit to phils voice please... when he's not screaming he shows you just how pro it is.
that said... let's not start this whole thing over again!

wow there is a huge void in my life right now... where the hell is davis...
gotta admit things were much more lively on this site when we were taking turns bitchslapping each other.
I'm gonna have to resort to going back on reef central if this keeps up... hey davis... you wanna have some fun? go over to reef central and post a thread sayin you are considering keeping a blue ring octopus and see what happens. Those bio elite bastards will come at ya from every side. That's what I do for bitchslap practice. Or tell em you wanna keep a moorish idol in a 35gal tank. Kinda the equiv of the "pantera thread" but slightly more like fair play cause you don't nec have to b ripping on someone. I AM TOO BORED! My daw is tied up mixing some shyte down... the wife is busy reading... what a world what a world.
