Man, where does it go? Soon to be July again! It is so frustrating you know, I am not a patient man. We took a couple weeks of for band members to do some vacation. We have a gig on the 3rd, a couple of possabilites after that. But still, I feel like I am in slooow motion.
No longer satisfied with the production quality of the recordings I have been able to make, and anxious to get to studio. Seems like were all scratching for every dollar we can get our hands on now just to meet family needs, well except Tony, he is just holding on with his head below the waves and going to school to better himself. I've been there too and its tough.
We have two new original songs, one from Tony (his first) and another from Eric, but I still feel a drag.
I want to run with it. All I can musteris baby steps.

With all this in mind, I am sure that you will be a success. Success does not just fall into our laps, we have to claw our ways up hill every inch of the way. If you aren't willing to do this then you will not succeed. All I can say, Sans, is congratualtions. 8)

Yeah, you're doin' good. You should be congratulated. I think this will be a great year for you. When you work this hard you will be rewarded for it. Don't give up. Don't lose your focus. Keep pissin and moanin'. Just don't drive your wife crazy.

My prob can be summed up by another poster that was in the football stadium locker room when I used to play in the 70's.

George,

I will say if you are holding a steady lineup in any kind of band you are doing great. You are like me, music is a major part of your life, but it is probably not the top priority.

I think you should feel fortunate to have a group together that is practicing and playing regularly.

Keep Rockin!!!

Thanks John, and you are right. The boys and I, well we got to look out for the families.
I just have this burning drive, things seem to be in slow motion ....... guess I picked the wrong weekend to stop smokin.
Suppose I should look at the bright side, I am working again.
And we are playing.
But I want it all, and I want it NOW !

My favorite story is about 2 frogs who fall into a pale of milk. They both struggle relentlessly to keep their heads up for air. One frog, however, began to lose his focus on saving his life and began to complain. He said "Man, it's useless. We may as well give up...We're gonna die anyway." The other frog said "no way, I'm gonna keep paddling until a get my greenass up outta here." The frog that lost focus did eventually give up. His head sunk under the thickness of the layers of milk and cream and the frog<<<sigh>>>>croaked. BUT, the frog that kept his focus continued to paddle and soon the creamy layers turned to butter allowing the finely, focused, frog the ability to climb his greenass outta there. He went on to play in a rock band and is now making millions of bucks...To be continued.

I went fishing a while back, but forgot to take any bait. When I got to the pond and realized this, I started looking around for anything I could use. I saw this frog, so I caught it and was about to cut it up when, all of a sudden it started talking. It said, "Stop! Please don't kill me. I'm a magic frog and if you kiss me, I'll turn back into a beautiful princess and do anything your heart desires." I thought about it for a moment and started to put it in my pocket. It said, "Didn't you hear me? I said I would turn into a beautiful princess and do ANYTHING your heart desires." I looked at it and said, "Hell, at my age I'd rather have a talking frog!" :)

That ain't nothin'. Shoot, when I lived down in Mississippi, I went fishing all the time at this big ol' lake back in the woods. I was fishing there one day and ran out of bait, but didn't want to quit yet, so I looked around for a frog or something. I could hear frogs everywhere but couldn't see any (I guess they were too good at hiding). Got to looking around and came up on this big ol' cottonmouth moccasin with a frog in it's mouth. I knew he couldn't bite me with that frog in his mouth so I picked him up behind his head and took that frog out of his mouth to use for bait. Then, I got to thinkin', he'd bite me soon as I let go of him. Well, I had a bottle of moonshine with me, so I pulled the cork out with my teeth and poured some down his throat and threw him way off in the bushes (I don't like killing things, even snakes). Well, I cut that frog up and was fishin' away and about 30 minutes later, I heard something and looked down and there was that big ol' cottonmouth, RIGHT NEXT TO MY ANKLE...and this time, he had TWO frogs with him! :)
