What is that musical latin word again you said as a recommendation for one of my songs? Turning it into a blues song.

if you are talking the de capo, it just means repeat from beginning..
I looked it up on the internet and there it was. You both are right.
Capt Scott-the chords you gave me, you're talkingy: about the 7th series right?
ex-C7, B7 ,EB ETC ETC

Did you look at the link(s) I provided?
It's a blues progression.
There are many of them..
That one was one I like.
There are more.
LOL
Did I leave something out?
Any chord can be part 7th. ie. A7-B7-C7-D7-E7-F7-G7
I don't understand your question..and I gather you don't understand my answer.

Hey, Writer. I caught this program on TV a few times on an educational channel. This woman explains everything in numbers and she does it in the key of C to make it simpler as all the notes are just the white keys. You can transpose it to any key after you learn the basics. She makes it look easy, but the main thing is, I had never looked at it this way. I learned a great deal about music just by watching her show. Here's the link:

Hope this helps a little. Give it a chance.

Yeah Amen, Rat...thanks for the help.
I lose a lot in translation as my piano/keyboard skills are lacking.
If you tried to explain it to me via pure theory or notation, I'd feel the same way.
Just trying to keep it simple..

Ratass thank you very much i will take a look at it. Just finding the time you know? I don't how you regulars do it. But look who's talkin. Yo Capt Scott-I was referring to some chords you gave to me as a challenge. I have to go back and refer to them. In the meantime please look at my new song Capt and ratsass. For some reason I get stuck in that smokey jazz room without even trying. Every once in a while I c an let loose and boogie-but my inner feelings seem to be with Al Capone and Bugsie Malone. At least for now. What I am trying to say is that I close my eyes, and I can feel the pulse and tempo of this type of music best. Also my playing skill is about 40% of the music, and the other 60% is editing the music I make. Also I can see my self doing a gig with a jazz quartet.
New Song is called..."Looking So Damn Good" hopefully I can find a singer for this.
PS. I took a look at the ssite you gave me. And it had some great info, I'm going to look at it again. Thanks!

Yeah, Writer, that Piano Logic on Youtube is good for getting you started, as long as you play in C. Transposing it is up to the individual. The best vids on there are Part One, Part Two, and Part 3. Part Two gets into the 7th chords and outlines basic blues. What they don't mention here, but I remember from the TV show is how the chords fall into place for song writing. In the key of C, using only the white keys, the notes go C D E F G A B for the 1 2 3 4 5 6 and 7. If you play the chords using the same fingerings on the chords, they go C Dm Em F G Am and B dim. Throw those chords into a hat and pull them out in any order (almost) and you can have a song in the key of C. That's just fun!!!

Also, just found this cool site. Click on any key and then the variation, and it will show the chord on the keyboard.

Wish I had time to look at it tonight, because what I looked at last night was simply radical to say the least. But wifey said no computer, she needs help with the kids and cleaning the house. And my son needs talking too. He terrorized somebody's cat, and he has a rep now.
LOL You got like 50 cats in a white panel van or what, Rat?
(it's gotta be too hot for that sh*t)
