Before Micheal Jackson died everybody referred to him as the "self proclaimed King of Pop", and now that he has passed, it is now truly acknowledged that he was indeed the King of Pop. Isn't funny how truly genuis isn't recognized until after the fact?

You might not have liked his music or his public personna but it's pretty hard to deny his talent. He had a great voice, amazing stage presence and dancing ability and created the biggest selling album of all time. The only time he was truly happy was when he was on stage; he's a tragic figure who will be remembered with Elvis, Jimi Hendrix and John Lennon.
jimmydanger you have a way with words. You should be a lawyer. (Ouch!)Captain Scott can you do moonwalk in that galaxy of yours:)? I've learned 9 of the 90 chords so far. (Keyboard/Piano) How many do you know? How many do you advice on knowing on being considered a music man? When should I start looking for a gig? Am I good enough for a gig yet? Do you have to be paid to consider it a gig? And finally, I am a Sunday Dj on Messiah College Radio? If I played some of my music on WVMM, is that considered a gig? One more finally-what if I just grabbed some youngin and went and played in the student union during an event, what do you consider that?
PS: Bubbles liked peanuts

I remember when I'd get sick of hearing about someone in the news and would make statements like "eesh, I wish he'd die already"...
This thread is why I no longer make those statements...

I've got some Micheal Jordan's and a collection of old bottles, with the corks, I'm willing to trade:)
Or is that Michael 's?

I just looked at you profile jJW123.Ouite Impessive! I have just listened to ratsass. He's damn good! . I have just added you to my profile. I'm a newbie so bear with me. The good Captain Scott is also showing and sharing with me his knowledge of the blues/music, and I hope also to learn from you.
It's the short list of music basics, very short, Writer..lol
How many chords do I know? (hmmm not sure, does one count them?)
moonwalk? ugggh.. Where I come from DANCE is a bad word.
I don't advise anyone that doesn't ask. And I wouldn't take anyone's word absolutely on anything. That's the beauty of the internet, it answers most questions if you only know how to pose the question.
Looking for a gig? Don'tcha think you need to write/learn a few good tunes first?
good enough>? see above line..
paid is not absolute to a gig, no but it would be nice..
If you played your music on college radio it is not a gig. (you didn't play anything live in front of an audience)
Playing in the student union with another guy is a gig. Just probably not well paying, but yes..a gig.
PS: F that poor monkey, you know MJ did.

I wonder if that monkey is in spank heaven right now:) If he is, he's in far better place than you or I are in Gunga Din.
Yes, I do need to get some songs under my belt. I just don't want to developet a bad case of stage fright, but I won't. And just want to be sure about the radio thing. In a lot of ways I'm like Tom Sawyer-easy way out. And at first money doesn't mean anything. I prefer a free lunch.
MJ ringtone. How does "Beat Sound to you?

NO BEAT IT>>EVER.. lol No Thriller, either.
Stage fright>?
I didn't think anyone on this forum actually got it but me and I have a way to use it or so it would seem. lol So I don't even give it a second thought.
If you wanna make an egg salad sandwich, you have to break some eggs.
If you want to have a good show, you also need to be willing to take chances and break some eggs. (a few shots may do it for you, but I advise against it)

I met a girl tonight at a picnic. She said he would like to sing to my music.
I am going to give her a shot. Just to let you know that mysterious comings, are still alive in this day and age/ I'm glad you understand my sense of humor. While not exactly dry, its difficult to tag.
What are a few shots?, and why would you advise against it?
