For all of you that do not have a life other than forums to vent....well you are all want - to - be's.....I am the real thing and have played thousands of concerts....not stupid ass bar bands but real shows, I have opened up for the greatist names in rock history.....so go ahead....bark all the " BS " you want to about me.....I still stand firm.....anyone who does not put their contact info on their description is a complete....moron !!

Like I said in his previous thread, GuitarX actually called me up and we had a congenial, down to earth conversation. Let me try to put into words what Guitar X is saying, perhaps in a more diplomatic way. If you want to get into a band it would behoove you to post all available means to communicate with you, and that includes your phone number. I've tried to contact numerous people and given them my phone number and very few ever call me back. I've gotten e-mails and text messages from some individuals who NEVER call me or return my phone calls. It's like they are living in some kind of cyber dream world. I want to hear somebody talk. I want to talk to somebody directly. Reading the printed word or reading a text message DOESN'T GET THE JOB DONE OF FORMING BANDS. That's what the frustration of Guitar X is all about. There's one person in particular in K.C. who constantly sends me e-mails and text messages, but REFUSES TO CALL ME. I know I intimidate some people but be BRAVE AND CALL ME. I'm not going to bite your head off. If somebody doesn't call me I am NOT GOING TO GET TOGETHER WITH YOU AND JAM, EVER. You don't form a band in your own weird make believe world in front of your computer. You form bands by COMMUNICATING, first on the phone, then IN PERSON. Either sh*t or get off the commode. Later...

Gx & bob - that makes perfect sense. Yes, it's a bit hardish to get together with ppl without the all-important phone call. Still, there's a world of difference between posting your info at your local level, & posting it on the www. I cut my land line (literally - it's rolled up & hanging from a tree outside) cuzza innumerable irritating phone calls. I'm not about to pass out my cell # to everyone. I wanna know a person is interested enough, & is a musician or someone I want to talk to, before I hand out that info.

Just look at the spamming we get in here. Now imagine that, times ten or twenty, on your telephone. Yeah, I know - it's easy enough to get through my lil screening process, if you really want to, but it seems to be working for me so far.

There's a world of ppl I'd just as soon not talk to out there, & I'm not gonna make it too easy for them to ruinate my day, moment by moment, call by call, costing me my precious minutes.

I still get the computer-generated calls on my cell, even after having my #'s placed on the so-called "list" that denies them that "right" to interrupt me, & yeah, I cuss & hang up. I don't need anymore stuff to cuss about.

Little math fact:

52 years old:
(Thousands) of concerts = 2000 at a minimum
Thats 3.205 major concerts every month from the date of birth.
I'd have to play 52 major concerts a month between now and when I turn 52 years old to catch up!
