It was another day in July,
the sun was scorching down,
and it was hotter than Hades,
so hot, it would make a grown man cry.
I was in the town of Grantham,… Grantham, Pa,
when I gave my life to the Lord I gave my soul on my own accord!
It was on the banks of the Yellow Breeches,
at Messiah College, an institute of higher learning., a place set in the hills of P-A.
In the beginning it was hot, then I felt a breeze, things started to cool down, and I felt a pain in my knee. In my knee!
The wind came and almost knocked me to the ground, then there was a rumble in the sky, and the old devil
said "my, my!"
He also said,” don’t give your life to the Lord, but instead give it to me, I'm the genie in the bottle, and I' all you all you need.

But my mind was made up!
I would not be denied. I had a date with destiny, and I believed in the Word. The lightening came, and folks ran for the Red Bridge at the Yellow Breeches River, but like I said, “I had a destiny, and I would not be late! The sky lit up, and the wind started to howl, and the trees started to bend and shake. (Eyes bulging out effect and have your cheeks puffed up out phillie)
Birds flew for cover, but 37 brave souls stood their ground, then Lewis joined the group and said "I was lost, but now I'm found." One by one, we marched like soldiers in the river to Pastor Wade, the river was muddy, water to our waist
But ...we had come too far, to be turned back by a little storm, we had waited for this day.
