if you were a metal band i'd go with 'kryptic fetal death fester', but since you are not... maybe: 'kaptain blueberry and the anabolic razors'.
I've heard a story of a band calling themselves 'free beer' and doing well on the college pub circuit... but that's not religous.

NOCTURNAL SEVERANCE

Yeah know, with Severance being such a non-rolling-off-the-tongue word..why not name the band...Severance? To be honest there's not much you can add to that to make it sound like a GOOD band name....then again who would've ever thought "Korn" ya know?

If you want a GOOD band name you don't pay people $25 (you pay $300 haha) but no seriously, the best band names are made on accident, with a mission statement, or by adding a noun with an adjective or pronoun with a noun, etc. Don't push the band name issue. With bands like Korn, Limp Bizkit, The Who, They Might Be Giants, The 69 Eyes, etc. it's obvious the band NAME doesnt make the band.
