I always use the small fender teardrop heavy pics.... been using them since the 80's...

Dunlop Tortex .88mm, the green ones. I buy em by the bag. If you go somewhere Ive played you will see them laying everywhere, cause i drop em all the time, bad technique I guess

Those are the exact one's I use specifically when I'm practicing on the acoustic.. They last nice and long and I need that with 13 guage!

I Love small tear drop picks, you can feel them strike the the string,twist them just to impart feeling,and you never drop them. Right now i'm using some cheap GOD KNOW'S WHAT KNOCKOFFS and after 2hours ,,,,toss it.

SORRY JSANTOS, I tryed those and they are just to big, and they have a real scratchy sound. IF they work for you great , Sorry if I sound a little PICKY.

I like the thin nylon gray color pics. The thinner they wear the more I like them. Kinda like my favorite blue jeans.
My attack tends to be too hard and deep. The thin flexable pic helps me reduce that effect somewhat.
The shark skin texture at the top helps me to not drop them as much.
I keep a stash of them in a little spring loaded box on my tuner. Our bassest gave me a small rubber pic holder I can slip on the edge of my music stand.

I used to luv the Walbash (clear blue) picks. I havent seen around much for a few years. When they'd crack and break just right could really get good grunge out of 'em. Now I use ol' jdunlops nylon .38s. I agree with you Sans, the thinner more flexable keeps from beating the strings a new one..

Snarling Dogs Brain picks for me. I freak out if I start to get low on 'em.

I remember my younger days when I'd lose my picks and cut some more out of a bleach jug. Thin ones from the side and thick ones from the bottom.

I drop picks everywhere.

Last night we practiced and I opened the guitar case I brought and didnt have any picks. Our bassist andy had a bunch around his studio that I had dropped. I looked everywhere and couldnt find a pick, I guess folks that came thru there picked them up. I wound up using a dime. After a couple of songs I couldnt tell the difference.

I guess my technique is that bad that I can use a dime and not tell the difference. I dont give a dime!

Jazz III picks are the smallest pick you can buy. It is a 1/2 the size of standard picks. You are thinking of something else.

lol Dime? My hands are too big, I have to use a quarter.

Only problem is you break strings if you get too far out..
