my friends said it was good. I guess it's deathcore to some, screamo to others, and jimmy buffet to someone else, musically speaking.

You know what? My kids have never been ST fans until now. I want them to believe that the movie is going to be.

I have to admit I never got into the Next Generation so I guess I will have to concede to defeat.
One last one before I retire for the night.
What was the Horta?
Hmm, very good question. Off the top of my head the Horta was a very white war- like culture of the Obsidian order. Wayoon ( spelling ), played by Jeffery Combs, was the main Horta creep. They were in cohorts with the renegade. I'm too sleepy. I will have to "fix" my answer tomorrow. Riker played the trombone.
Oh crap I messed that up big time. Horta is not to be mistaken with Vorta. Hey no fair...you didn't say which series you were talking about . Horta was that pregnant rock.

Imagine William Shatner playing the role of Andy Taylor and Leonard Nimoy playing Barney Fife and Uhura as Aunt Bea? They could be stuck in some sort of demented time warp. Yeah, sometimes I don't think logically...fisherman bob wrote:The one negative about Star Trek (and I LOVE Star Trek) was that in almost every episode they were 1.3 milliseconds form being destoyed and were always saved at the last instance. I wish there could have been an episode where nothing really exciting happened. I imagine out in space there's quite a few planets where nothing dramatic goes on. It would have been nice to have an episode where Spock is beamed up to the Enterprise with a brown, polymorphic, malodorous substance and Captain Kirk asks him "Spock, what is it?" Spock replies "It's sh*t captain." "Whose sh*t is it, Spock?" asks Captain Kirk. "I have no fuc*king idea" replies Spock. THE END....
Now where is the logic in that? Spock would not pick up sh*t. Bones would pick up sh*t AND he would know whose sh*t it was. Spock would then have a quandary about the logic of picking up sh*t. Then he and Bones would get into a big argument, then there would be a flash of Captain Kirk in a threesome...To Be Continued.
Fisherman Bob, I understand your pain, man.
Shatner playing the role of Andy Taylor and Leonard Nimoy playing Barney Fife and Uhura as Aunt Bea?
Damm Bob, that hurt my head just thinking about it!
Does anybody else think that the new Kirk and Spock look too young to be Captain/ 1st officer of a starship?
Kirk (Shatner) was 34 (I think) in the original series iirc..

Shatner is still the sh*t.
For all the ype, you may as well go and see it.
Who knows, maybe you guys will even like it.
I felt cheated, though..
The best stuff they already stuffed into the trailer.
