John I think that sounds like a good idea, like someone said it's a fine line between promotion and spam, but what you're describing is probably not literally spam. I'm trying to think how would I see it if I got your message. Can't quite put myself in those shoes though.

I checked out the Yahoo personals a couple of weeks ago on a whim, next day I started getting spam emails from Yahoo personals. That sucks, it's literally spam emails. But if I got an email or PM on a website of any kind, or a forum site like this one, it probably wouldn't bother me as much.

Usually I have a pretty clear cut, definite stance on most issues but I find myself on the fence here...

I just hope it's not barbed wire...
