Well, in such cases as those who are angry or into some head trip and decide to leave thinking - or not thinking actually - of grabbing some attention, if I say anything at ll it will be "Don't let the door hit you in the a$$"...and that pretty much describes 90% of those who post goodbye threads. You can see right through them.

Then there's the few who, for sensible reasons, decide or have no choice but leave. Work overload, other pursuits taking precedence, jelly on the carpet, whatever...those you can usually see are sincere and not fishing for attention. We had one of that type a while back, Wegman I think it was, posted a goodbye thread saying other interests were commanding too much of his time and he had to restructure his priorities, including online time.

That type of goodbye thread I'll pay attention to every time, it's pretty easy to see it was not posted as an attention getter. Everyone was disappointed to see weggie go, including me, since he had become a regular and was pretty well liked.

So all in all my reaction just depends on the situation.

Philby ya better check in now and then, if ya don't I'll send the kid instructions on how to really terrorize grandpa...I have yer phone number...and I will use it...

People that make a big issue of leaving = future lurkers.

Jimmy in the lead as we begin double jeopardy.. lol

Bandmix people don't leave, they regroup in hell after 16 bars of "Rainy Days and Mondays.."

They WANT to leave after that, as Bandmix looks good..

Good point Pete; I was focusing on a certain member who can't take criticism and has said goodbye before, only to return. Music is a contentious sport and if you come here asking for opinions, well you're going to get some. Plenty of people have left the board without a word, so when someone plays the "you guys don't like me, I'm leaving" card it pisses me off. Obviously if you're scraping jelly off the carpet you don't have time to bandmix.

I'm surprised you came back, Bob. What with all the unfavorable reports about Bandmix from all the people in the music business. :)

i think we are all human right so when you are peed off at something/one you'll say goodbye.

I don't consider that a sign of weakness, more a point of seeing who is really there and though a tantrum can seem a bit painful to some.

Weakness sometimes has a habit of being strong in the end if you study history? So don't knock it.

HEY HAYDEN,
Please don't take down your quote because of any thing I wrote. Much more truth than even you realize. SORRY just having some fun at looking things from different points of view.
A bit of HISTORY.
Our " founding fathers" WERE a real rowdy bunch of guys.
GEORGE WASHINGTON use to distill 80 THOUSAND gallons of whiskey every year on his farm in Vermont. FORGET THE BOSTON TEA PARTY!!!!!
WHEN the brits wanted to tax him extremely, HE SAID SAID HECK NOOO!!
REMEMBER WHISKEY WAS A READILY ACCEPTED FORM OF CASH IN THOSE DAYS.
Funny when things change,,,, AS the first president...He had to apply a whiskey tax. PENNSYLVANIA. FARMERS REVOLT. History goes on and seems to repeat itself.
As I said, more truth than you realize.
Thanx for the tracks ,,, KEEP WRITING, NEW MUSIC ROCKS, STOMPS, AND DOMINATES!!!!!!!!!!!!

talkin bout me? I accepted the apology. Really, I did. I just don't see anything good coming out of this site for me. Don't get me wrong, I got a few useful tips here and there; but I don't like being told "Hey, the genre you listen to and perform SUCKS! Do what I want you to do!"

I don't belong here...That's all. So insult me all you want Hayden, cause I don't care.

I respect most of the people on here. There are a lot of talented musicians here. Neanderpaul is a great dude and a very talented singer/writer/musician...Then there are also a bunch of wannabe 70's rock stars. The 70's are over and it's time to move on.

Also I've heard a lot of you guys saying "Just learn how to sing!". Truth is, I can sing a little, but I don't want to. I chose to learn and perform this style of vocals because it's what I enjoy doing.

I like what I do; I like the style I perform; and the public likes it too. I get at least 5 emails a day from bands asking me to be their front-man, and that really makes me feel good, and isn't that what really matters in the end?

But sadly, I know that respect for metal-heads is hard to come by around here. And that's the reason I left.

....ummm... I wouldn't really knock the 70's- 90's cover acts as I pretty much fit into that mold :? I'm having a freakin' blast playing out at least twice a month, free drinks, getting paid, and actually getting to go out with the wife and meet new friends and getting the royal treatment when I come off stage. I gave up playing over 20 years ago and not in my wildest dreams did I ever even think that I would be doing this again full force... I always reminiced about the "old days" and now I'm living it all over again with a clear head. I love all the new music and appreciate it but for what it's worth, the "70's-90's" cover acts are dominating the club scene out here and the bars are booking bands like mine like wildfire... We're never gonnna be "Rock Stars" but we are very content with how this is all turning out. Honestly, figuring out Halen, or Zack Wilde, etc.. takes a helluva lot longer for me to perfect as opposed to figuring out "Lamb of God", etc.. (Yes I have had to figure out a few of them thar genres when answering ads once in a while and I've got it down) but I just didn't fit in as I'm in my late 40's and these guys were in their 20's...
