Perhaps, being "new" to the mix. He missed the point of this thread.
It's like, if you have music up you want us to check out, just ask.
Most of us, if you participate in the forums, will swing by and check out your music, without being invited. Yet not being around us enough, he probably does not know that (for the most part) we are interested in each others lives and motivations as well as the music. Like most communites. If you stray from the normal accepted procedures, the local "police" will write you a ticket. LOL

lol yah, but it's not like you can listen to his song with out adobe 9, and I don't feel like messin with it right now, kinda sun drained after a nice day spent in the next city south enjoying the mall and a main drag with a music shop on it, actually had strings to fit my monterous acoustic, but it still won't hold tune and the intonation isn't right now to bring it to someone who really knows

I cant really remember back that far but I do remember I started playing drums in school band when I was in about 4th grade, that was short lived and i didnt play them again for a few years.

When I was a few years older I had a friend who played and had an old ludwig kit and I would mess around on those. I just had to have my own drums and it just so happened that he decided to sell his kit. I mess with those for awhile until a got a Pearl kit and recruited my best friend and his brother to start a band, they didnt play any instruments but i was determined to get them to learn guitar. Somehow they managed to talk thier parents into forking over money for guitars, amps and lessons.

I also started taking drum lessons but I was pretty far ahead of them as far as playing went but we forged on anyway. We played a really bad cover of Metallica's "For Whom the Bell tolls" and anything they could manage to get through with 3 power chords.

I only took lessons for about a month before i was bored with it and kept learning on my own, they kept up the guitar lessons and were becomming pretty good. Anyway, we messed around for a year or two until thier family decided to move a few hours away.

I joined another garage band with some other friends and we played for maybe a year and I couldnt even tell you why we stopped but we did.

Eventually I quit playing because of a combination of work, flight school and a fiancee, the drums sat collecting dust and just before I moved to Florida I decided to sell them.

fast forward 15 years and here I am, married (not to the former fiancee), children and finally got back into playing about a month ago. I got another Drum Kit and I've been practicing and jamming daily, started taking drum lessons with a pro studio drummer and I'm lovin life, bonus the wife is an excellect singer and we decided to start a band together.

By the way, I got back in contact with my old friend/guitarists, they're still playing and have done really well for themselves because of it. One even drove 1000 miles to come hand out and jam for a day, he's coming back again in 2 weeks.
