chill the f**k out, man. look at my original response to your original post, and TRY telling me how it was meant to bash you. everything was civil until you started taking offense to everything and throwing around the word "dickhead" for no reason. youre the most immature 36 year old ive ever met.

just like to add that often these messages come off so cold you really have to be carefull not to upset someone... it's kinda silly but- w/o inflection you may not be coming across how you intended too...
that said... can't we all just try and get along? The moms basement thing was going a bit too far IMO, but at the sm time I can kinda see why drummerdude felt all stepped on. So lets compormise: drummerdude - you can be anything you want to if you just believe... the rest of ya: you'll have to work your arse off for it (don't take me too seriously now, hehe).

Hahaha what did I do? I think I got into it with Dr. Drummerbw in another post because now he's upset at 'two' of us! Yeah! He told me to get out my Mothers basment just as he did to g!... Way to be original! Take some pills or smoke a joint or something! CHILL OUT!!

What did g! say that was so bad? I didn't find one thing about his original statement to be ominous... Hey g!, he referred to us as Webster's Dictionaries... that has to be a compliment! Drummerbw should read the dictionary more often because obviously when he filters others words through his OWN definitions they automatically come out offensive... Like if I said to him, I love you, I would probably be misconstrued into a homosexual rapist - not simply a nice loving person haha...

yeah, the get out of the basement was ruff. I'm sure that offended half the musicians on this site (hehe), and the other half isn't sure if that insult applies to those living in their mother in law's basement. (take it like a man now). Anywho, my mom is calling.

OMG Mike, too funny. Mom, I'll be right there.
hehehe.

I do have to agree with you that sometimes in posts, emails, ims, etc unless the person you are speaking to really knows you, they may not interpret your meaning the the way you were trying to convey it.

Take me for example, I am an incredibly sarcastic person, but I tend to me so quiet and not opinionated on here so as not to offend anyone. YEAH RIGHT!

I am going to preach one more time that everyone is entitled to their opinion. Great minds often have differing opinions.

That being said, I personally feel that if we didn't dream, where would we be?
No goals, no aspirations? We'd all be working at Mc Ds. Although, my 8 year has mentioned before that she would like to work there, I certainly don't encourage it. Having dreams to me is taking the first step to reality. I will defer to the old quote " If you can dream it, you can achieve it"

Yes being realistic with your goals is ideal, but being realistic with your dreams, to me anyway, is like being without dreams.

I disagree completely... I am a genious (my mom told me so).
...jk. Dream all you like... it's great! But when you wake up realize that success is 1% inspiration and 99% pirspiration(einstein said that).
I love the saying "you can be anything you want" -it's the "if you just believe" part that I firmly dissagree with. Believing is just one of many things you need to do to achieve your dreams.

I just wanted to post another quote in response to the dream aspect of this. Ironically, I saw the quote right after I posted a response earlier.
" If you limit your choices only to what seems possible or reasonable, you disconnect yourself from what you truly want, and all that is left is a compromise."

here's a counter thought for ya...
"if you limit your accomplishments to dreaming... you'll know all the great things you'd like to do... and accomplish none of them" hehe
(I can't help it... devil's advocate is in my blood)

Dreaming is a great motivator - but a terrible master.

I absolutely agree that dreaming is not the only thing you should do. Acting on those dreams are a must, otherwise, what's the point?! :)
