Alright so. I'm really not much of a picture taker at shows. But I did take a few from the stage of our Pure Aloha show last night.

Sound Check:

Basically this is what I was looking at during our set. What a killer crowd. We had a lot of fun. We're so lucky to have so many Reggae fans and supporters here in Vegas. The energy level was awesome.

I'll have more pics of our set to post later when others from the crowd make them available. Awesome night all the way around. This is what we do it for. The experiences of a lifetime. Incredible party dude!!

Cheers.

Yea guys, I really do feel blessed to have joined such a great band. Sometimes being creative and stepping outside the box can really pay off..

And who says I still can't sport my Zombie shirt??

Yea, that stage is humongous!! The sound system is so powerful, the floor rumbles. You even get a foot massage when you're playing.Hahaha..

No I haven't.. To be honest, I'm not sure if I really would now. I'm more fascinated with the roots aspect of Reggae.

Thanks for replying.
Ska is an upbeat reggae. AKO, Specials/Madness and such. Great Gig man and thanks for sharing.

Now that's what I call a gig, koodos to you for sacrificing metal for reggae(at least for now) for the love of performing, it's a sign of professionalism.

Ska is ok Chippy.. We opened up for The English Beat a while ago. It was pretty cool. They certainly deserve their respect for their musicianship and professionalism. It's just a different world. Not so Collie.

By the way.. The pic of me in the big screen singing. I was singing this song:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X572Mp_r ... annel_page

Awesome song. I identify with it quite a bit. I still think it's one of the best songs ever written about friends and family. And in the Reggae world, those things are first and foremost. So it was a great song to sing for my Mom and Dad, and one of my best friends who I've known since I was 4..

Fretwork, thanks for the kind words. I love to entertain, and right now I've found a good home with this style of music. You can't take the hard-core out of me, but you can channel it to more positive directions. I think that's where I'm at in my musical career these days.

Shedd,
I am of the opinion that Ska is a musical form originating, chronologically speaking, very close to the roots of Reggae. When the British variants, (The Specials, The English Beat, etc.) were rockin' out back in the 'ol "new-wave days", Ska was already decades old. The most successful recent variant of the genre seems to have been "No Doubt".

I dig most all styles of styles of Ska and Reggae, and dabbled in both as a player.

Anyways,

I greatly enjoyed your pics of the gig, and wish you great continued success with Hale AmanO!

Great band! , and don't let your tubes cool down! :D
Howlin'

P.S. Just to let 'ya know, I got my staircase built, and been thinkin' about celebrating with a Guinness and one of those awesome Shreddo, Vegas style steaks like you grill up...yum-yum!
