"Babay Face Nelson Sr" - For me, it's an attack of too many rhythms between the piano, drums, guitar, etc, to get very much enjoyment out of it. The constant repitition of the piano parts gets old. This is your basic formula computerized sh*t that never made me "feel" much of anything but the desire to turn it off, but to each his own, I guess.

Anyone can do this. Take a basic run on any given instrument, figure out a basic chord progression & alter the same run you originally wrote & apply it to the chords. BORING with a capital "B-O-R-I-N-G!" Now drop in some other instruments with some really cool altered rhythms into it, & it STILL doesn't go anywhere! WOW!

There isn't any real lead instrument, or lead melody. It's an exercise in basic rhythms, & that's all it ever can be.

If you want to WRITE, you need to make it MUCH more interesting, for me. Instead of just adding stuff to the original phrase, you need to find a melody, & let it flow somewhere else once in awhile. If you find your original melodic progression becoming too long &/or repetitive, then your work needs to move in a new direction, be it a bridge or several actual separate movements. Then you can tie it all up with a neat little bow by returning to your original melody or not, depending upon the needs of the particular piece.

I found that I couldn't get through the entire piece, here, & I clicked off due to boredom & an overall lack of interest after about a minute & a half. Since this was the 1st thing offered, I fully expected the rest to be more of the same, so I wasn't interested enough to even try out any of the rest. I wouldn't even use this thing as filler on a CD, unless it was a VERY short segue from one REAL piece of music to another. That, imho, is about all it's good for.

Yeah there's nothing to feel. Feelings are emotions. You've got NOTHING here to feel. No lyrics, very little melodic progression, just small parts of something. What you have is just the beginning of something. Put something together, COMPLETE something. Lyrics, a vocalist, SOMETHING.

According to another of your posts, you don't even play an instrument, so I can only assume that this stuff is done using garageband or a similar format. That, sir, pisses me off, as a REAL musician. This is not composition. You're a lil kid playing with someone else's blocks of music & stacking them up in a boring fashion.

Please - just stop it.

While you have contributed to some of the discussions minimally, don't think we haven't noticed that the vast majority of your posts are nothing more than spam. I suggest you lay off that crap.

And look up the definition of the word vapid (if you don't know its meaning already). Kind of fits this post to a "T".

Thanks for everybody's critcism ans admonishment of my songs. It was warranted. However despite your pleas for me disappearing in the vapid aromatic air, I'll keep on. Thanks, and keep your quills sharpened, and throw more darts my way.

Until then my band of fellow mucisians...I bid you adieu.

There would be love to be felt if you were an actual musician, or if you were even attempting to be one, Writer.

We DO try to help our brethren when they're in need.

You, however, are not a musician. Nor are you the composer you claim to be.

I've said it before, & I'll reiterate for you - learn about music...learn an instrument...put the necessary time into it to become one of us. There is NO EASY PATH, NO QUICK WAY TO BECOME A COMPOSER OR MUSICIAN OR A "GOOD" SINGER, no matter the talent you may believe you were born with. It takes WORK. It takes drive. It takes persistence. It takes patience. It takes time. It takes experience. It takes more than you've been willing to put into it, thus far.

The more you come in here with recordings of other ppl's work that you've slapped together to "create" something new, the less you will be in the eyes of musicians. The more weird your posts, the less they will be read.

Do the work. Learn the craft. Earn our respect, & you will get it. That's as nice as I can be & remain honest.

'Nuff sed.

Dont feel singled out and get your feelings hurt, this is a truth in opinions forum, as opposed to being a nicey-nice "we love everything that you do" forum.
Since I've been here, it's been that way, (I've received my share of darts and arrows,) and these good people's opinions are constructive enough that I think that it made me a better musician; in that it changed my single-minded way of thinking in some crucial areas of musical composition.
Have a good one!!
