We'll be getting those chips at our 1st opportunity, JH. Tnx for the advice. I was speaking to ppl at the shelters, & they told us about them, too. They're a lot cheaper than I expected them to be, or I'd have had them already.

We've gotten calls from ppl who saw them before the accident, & had both dogs in their homes BEFORE the accident that killed the lab. They've all been very concerned & tried to be helpful, but still no pug.

I have 2 more pugs, though, that seem rather depressed, & need my attention, too.

I'll be putting up a fence this weekend, I guess.

Philby we go to local animal shelters for all of the care for our pets its way cheaper. We get vaccinations, spay, and nutering and micro chips for a fraction of the cost of going to a vet. We paid $10.00 to get each of our dogs micro chipped.

I have heard that up to 9% of those micro chips develop cancerous cells in the tissue surrounding them. Would be interested to know if you ever see that problem in your pets, though I pray it never happens.

I got the pug back! He went to my STICKMASTERS meeting about 15 hours late, but Dddonnie called me & I got him.

Can't belive the calls I've gotten in the community over this stupid little dog. Ppl are pretty nice sometimes.

Some good news for a change...it's certainly welcome!

Let's hear it for ol' "travellin' Jack!"

One thing about pugs is they can make a living on their own, ours is named Trip short for tripple because he is the third dog we got (bet you can't guess where we got that name from) anyway that little fatboy can make a living in our back yard he always has something to eat. :D

Yeah, I LOVE the pugs. I always made fun of big men with little foo-foo dogs until I became one, thanks to my wife.

I have 3 pugs - Percy Sneezenwheezer, Ginger Gaspinhacker, & Jack Cough (who's now been returned home).

They're really annoying if you don't like the breed. They're hot as hell & ALWAYS have to be sitting on you/touching you, no matter the season. They sneeze/wheeze/hack/gasp/snort/snore/etc ALL the time, & they NEVER stop shedding!

But - their predecessors, the foo dog of china, were bred specifically to be companion dogs for the emporer. They are companions, & will love you to death for their entire lifetimes. They're playful & very empathic little guys. I love them

I am happy for you.
Pugs are a funny high energy breed. My sister had one, he ran into a tree while rough housing with my brother in law and popped one eye out.
Did not slow him down a bit. They should have renamed him NASCAR as he only made left turns after that.
I hated it when I would sit and watch TV. He would sit on your bare foot.
Something unsettling about dog ass winking on your foot.

I am absolutely sure that I met this man. I sent an e-mail when I first watched this story some months ago and never got a response. If this is the man (if not it's his twin) he suffers from PTSD from being in Vietnam. I spoke to him daily for about a week. He was a sad case as he had no family. I do seem to vaguely remember something about him possibly mentioning one sister in the Oakland California area. He was homeless and very lonely. He was on medications so that would be a hit on his identity! I sent an e-mail with the location and approximate date and I've given all of the details I can remember this time. I hope that this time they will follow through with this lead. He may be in the best situation that he's been in for a long time as far as his environment goes, psychologically though it must be incredibly hard to handle not knowing your past.

(here's the video of him)
