I never thought I'd make it to 30, and now I'm 50+ .. wtf???

When I hit 50 I looked at it as....I'm 50 and haven't had a mid life crisis yet, so that means I'll live to be over 100!!!!

I had the mid-life crisis at 34. I'm just as glad I got that over with...it's made me free to use the rest of my life without the doubts & fears that I might not make it after all - I didn't, & ya know what? IT'S STILL OKAY WITH ME!!! I still have time, & I"ll never have to worry about the crap that a teen idol has to go through.

I'm still learning new stuff like fishing & can pick up a new instrument anytime I wish, & I have skills I never had at any other time in my life, without the emotional shakiness that came with youth. The pressure's off, I like life a lot more than I ever did, with a few exceptions (heck, NOTHIN's perfect).

I like bein' 54 a LOT better than I liked bein' 34.

Yeh that was the worst Phil... ahhh.. Tis true, maybe being old (er) aint so bad!!!

I told my kids, if they ever hear me use the phrase "I'm (insert large number here) years young.", to just shoot me in the head and get it over with.

Just keep doing what ya do best, and have a helluva good time while you're doing it.

Like a friend of mine says (in his 60's)...I get up in the morning, check the obits in the paper, if I don't see my name I plan my day! I love it!
