cause everything in life should be free.

I wonder how many thousands of songs you've illegally downloaded?

(edit)
Oh, and it's a good idea to not show up on sites and insult entire communities when your band has such a unique name and can easily be looked up on google... people who search for you will find this arrogant thread among the results. Have a nice day.

It must not be all that bad...I've hooked up with 3 people so far that are intersted in making a run at putting a band together this weekend!

Not bad for just 48hrs worth of reading profiles, and sending out EM's to test the water.

I've had a better response in here than on Craigslist! (for a change)

I actually had to re-register so I can respond to you, Kramer..

thank you for insulting me back, you have a big heart..

i'm not sure why you used the "illegal downloads" move... i guess it's a big no-no in your book, you hypocrite... But still.. wtf?? Go to my site (you already google'ed it) - all of my music there is offered FOR FREE, You insensitive clot! I wonder if you allow anyone to download your tracks for free. Do you? Not 30 second pre-view clips, but the full tracks?

Next time - take a second to analyze what other people post here. I'm definitely not the first one to rant about it here and I will be really happy if this service dies out of lack of revenue for.. d'oh.. very obvious reasons.

The $10 a month is lame. Lame on every level. These website owners try to capitalize on the musician's souls. Souls that try to create something beautiful and contribute to the society, yet it's impossible because of such artificial barriers created by the 'entrepreneurs'. I understand the owners had to incur costs to design and host the site, yet majority of the folks registered hang out in the forum where it's FREE.

Look at the post below mine - "please put contact information in your profile".. hehe..

You go, Kramer, I hope you'd really inspire someone with "cause everything in life should be free".

People like you make me sick. Yuck.

Here we go again.

Look, no one is holding a gun to your head & making you pay. You can still advertise for free.

You wanna whine? You have no ground to stand on. Your arguments are ridiculous at best.

I've been a non-paying member for over a year. In that time, I've met 3 ppl, directly or indirectly, through this service. It IS free, nutwit.

On another note, it's simply rude & bad form to go onto a free forum & insult ppl left & right as you insult the service providing you that free forum, but I suppose your mom didn't teach you much about manners, did she?

So go away & give your crap away for free, cuz that's most likely what it's worth, if you won't put a value on it.

Ppl who provide a genuine service have a perfect right to charge what they choose for that service. This IS a "free market." You don't like the service charge? Don't use it. Personally, I've gotten far more than my money's worth out of it thus far, cuz it hasn't cost me a cent, yet I've made some pretty good friends on here, had some damned enlightening conversations, & learned a helluva lot from this site, besides meeting 3 ppl who may yet be able to help me in my search, cuz I'm smart enough to know better than to burn any bridges.

Of course I can understand, you knowing everything there is to know that's worthwhile, how this would insult your "intelligence," but for the rest of us, it's working out well.

In conclusion, I'd say it's pretty obvious that you aren't needed or wanted here, so please - go complain to someone who will listen to your childish rants, & allow the adults to have their conversations in peace.

Thank you for leaving.

worse still this guy didn't think that oh, a 10 spot a month for more online storage of music, 10 times the storage for 10 bucks, seems reasonable by the numbers to me, I mean sure they are making a decent margin but that doesn't factor in THE COST to run a website, while it may not be much there still is one, thats like people back in the 60's and 70's saying "the people's music should be free" so can I go to your clothing store and get my "people's shirt" doesn't work like that won't ever will, I ended up here cuz it seemed like a decent meeting site, if I had mobility and was in a better living position I would have auditoned for at least three bands by now

Never claimed I had a heart. I give as good as I get. Folks here who know me could attest to that. Be glad captain scott didn't get to you first. I went easy on you.

Duo wrote:i'm not sure why you used the "illegal downloads" move... i guess it's a big no-no in your book, you hypocrite...

Well, you set the bar by expecting something for nothing, so the statement wasn't exactly unwarranted. Your "hypocrite" statement although is unwarranted, you seem to think I preach one thing and practice another.. wrong again.

Duo wrote:But still.. wtf?? Go to my site (you already google'ed it) - all of my music there is offered FOR FREE, You insensitive clot! I wonder if you allow anyone to download your tracks for free. Do you? Not 30 second pre-view clips, but the full tracks?

My track here is downloadable for free. Although, it's not for sale to anyone, by my choice (and frankly I not enough of an egomaniac to think it has a market value anyways).. but WHY do YOU give it away for free? Self promotion, no doubt, so it's not really free, you've placed a value on it, and if you claim otherwise, you are surely a liar too.

Duo wrote:Next time - take a second to analyze what other people post here. I'm definitely not the first one to rant about it here and I will be really happy if this service dies out of lack of revenue for.. d'oh.. very obvious reasons.

??you want them to die from lack or revenue, but at the same time, expect them to service everyone for free? WTF dimension does your business model work in? The land of OZ??

No, you are not the first one to rant here, nor will you be the last, but exactly what analytical conclusion was I supposed to come to regarding your OP?? Was I supposed to conclude that you were telling us how much you like the site and that we should all have a nice day? You act as if you didn't just insult the entire community.

You think this website (and it's parent bandvista) are FREE to operate??? They have employees to pay, programmers, tech support (and YES their tech support works every day), and you think they exist to provide some snot licker like you a free service?? Grow up and learn about something called "overhead".

This forum is one of the best online, most likely because clusterfuks like you don't stick around long.

Yeah, at least she was NICE about it....

So, go, piss off back to harmony central or wherever else you came from, go find your endless pool of posers on craigslist and don't post here. Believe me, we really have standards here and even for free, you don't meet the requirements.

Let's talk about this some more. What "free" sites are you talking about? Craig's List? Myspace? Backpage.com? These are all "free", right? Have you seen all the EXTREMELY ANNOYING banner ads on Myspace? They"re "free", right? Have you noticed there's all kinds of companies that will set up your Myspace page for"free", right? And you"ve gotten all kinds of responses from future "friends" that in no way, shape , or form want to get money from you, right? Did you get that Myspace friends request form Anne, who sent you a picture of her butt in hot pants, right? How about the next day, did you get a message from Sally who by coincidence sent you THE EXACT SAME PICTURE OF THE EXACT SAME BUTT, right? Then Craig's List EVERYTHING is "free", right? You can have Criag's List put your ad at the top of the heading each day for "free", right? There's a bunch of other ways to optimize any Craig's List ad for"free", right?
Bandmix is a PROFESSIONAL website. You can still have a profile on here for free, really, and you can even contact people for free if you know how. I'm happy to pay my annual fee here, primarily for this Forum. I have contacted and been contacted by numerous musicians on Bandmix. I like the look of Bandmix. I like the features. I like not GETTING women sending me pictures of their butts (don't get any ideas Crip). I like NOT having all kinds of banner ads. The other "free" websites are CRAP to me. I know a lot of people do well on them. I could give a sh*t about the free sites. I'm happy to be here. I believe I've made a lot of friends here. I appreciate the input that many people make to this Forum FOR FREE. The info on here is worth its weight in gold as far as I'm concerned. So you can go on here and insult all you want to. I'm not buying it, and I'm not buying the delusion that the "free" websites are better than Bandmix. I've parked my butt here whether you like it or not...
