It's on June 6, and it's for the "Deep River Junior Ancients" Fife and Drum Corps. Proceeds go towards a scholarship.
.
I just checked out the theater in the Town Hall, where we'll perform on June 6. It's a small and quaint theater, built in the 1800s.
.
And - it's pretty cool . . .
.
> 120 seats. Max legal capacity: 130. I'm not sure what the story is on advance tickets, yet. If so, you may want to buy them early . . .
> Although it's old, it's been rewired and updated. 2 banks of eight floodlights, 1/2 doz. computerized colored floods, full soundboard . . .
.
Also -
- The Junior Fife and Drum Corps will be performing outside (to attract attention), 1 hour before the performance.
If you've never heard a Fife and Drum Corps, you might be interested to know that you can usually hear a drum corps from a mile away . . .
.
- the show will be from 7 - 10. We will play for 1 hour. All originals, of course.
- a second band will also play for an hour - cover songs, mostly rock.
- We'll have CD's for sale and donate 50% to the drum corps.
More info as it comes in.
Alan

Dang, Jeanette loves old buildings. And I love music. It's too bad your so far away and I am so broke.

Sounds like a real cool venue Alan.
Must be a thrill to be onto something like that.

Well - it's for a music scholarship; it's a good cause.
It's a really cool place. Right in the center of town.
The theater is pie - shaped, with an ornate dome ceiling.
There's only a small amount of seating, and the stage is only about 30 feet wide - but it's also about 60 feet deep.
They have several theater groups which perform there.
Anyway - should be fun.
