'Cept they upset my stomach, make me lose sleep, which makes me mean as a snake, & I suspect i'd prolly get well just as fast without 'em. It's the fear that makes me take 'em at all. I have very little faith in medicine, but I'll do whatever I can to get well...I really hate lying around though, even when I'm this damned weakened by disease.

I think I'll have a good shot at quitting the tobacco, though, so something great might just come out of this yet!

Thats how I quit smokin, cigarettes that is. I came down with a turrible flue in 1988 was so sick I didn't even want a cig. for 6 days then I started to get well and when the urge to smoke started to come back I just kept setting more short tem goals I had gone 6 days without a cig. I new I could make it a week whats one more day then I said I wonder if I can make it 2 weeks and then a month. Before I new it I had gone 3 months! after the 3 months I was drinkin with some friends and I thought Aw Hail I will try to have just one so I bumed a cig. from a friend took one toke and it tasted just like the first drag I ever took off of a cig. when I was 10 years old and from that day forward I never smoked cigaretts again I can't even spell that word. I have had more than a few of those left handed cigs. over the years but thats it.
One thing I have noticed though is how I can smell a cig. from 10 miles a way. I just found out 3 days ago my 17 year old daughter is smoking, I guess she will have to learn just as I did.

Phil, get you some of the Alka Seltzer cold and flu med that you put in hot water and it's lemon flavored. Then add a shot of Jack Daniels. Tastes like crap but works wonders.

He was riding his bicycle & hit a deer...& I thought I had bad luck! How the hell do you hit a deer with a BICYCLE?!?!?!?!?! Poor guy's got his arm in a sling & everything...good thing he was wearing that lil sissy-lookin' helmet!

Screw the deer. Them beavers are the ones you gotta worry about. It took me 7 months and 42 buckshot before I finally killed the one in my profie pics. she was the small one at 64 lbs. My son killed her old man he was over 70 lbs. they tore so much up around my pond Im still fixing it. The deer around my place just keep the acorns picked uo for me.

those lil buggers (beaver) are protected here. Its instant jail time for killin em! In fact in Ky they look out for both kinds o beavers. they'll put you ass in a sling for harming either one!!!

I had to cut 8 large oak trees down and lost a bunch of smaller ones. The last straw was a beatiful granny smith apple tree wihich had the best apples on it. I put wire around all of the others within 50 ft of my pond. I had to destroy a burrough that goes about 6ft deep and 40 ft along the bank and under some oaks about 80 ft tall. Im worried they will die next. I beleive if someone tried to protect those bastards , I would have shot them too. I swear I did everything I could to run em off.
