I recently came into possession of an '82 Korean Squier P-Bass. Does anyone know where I can find some information on this particular model?

I can tell you that the korean stuff was all likely manufactured in the cort factory. I don't believe they make any korean guitars anymore, but cort still manufactures licensed fender necks and bodies under the mighty mite name.
Korean stuff falls somewhere between mexican and japanese. Fender made some 'upper level' korean stuff in the late eighties called 'pro tone' that was so nice it was discontinued for fear it was competing with the japanese stuff. AFA value its probably worth what a decent mexican p-bass would be worth (off the top of my head 1-2 bills).

for what it's worth I think the korean stuff is the best value money can buy in the fender line.

...I have an 85' Squire P-bass that my wife bought "new" at the time, it always sounded incredible and even with the truss rod opening covered I was able to make adjustments with a simple wood shim which allowed me to get the action extremely low (my preference).
Years later she bought me a much more expensive 2006 American made "Fender" P-bass, after a year of trying I still cannot get it to sound quite as good as that damn $125 Squire...as a matter of fact in all the venues we play I get nothing but compliments and shocked looks that such an inexpensive bass sounds so good.

I have a late 70s Fender P Bass. It has a Baddass Tailpiece and and active EMG pickup. It sounds fantastic.

In the end all that matters is the tone, it doesnt matter if it comes from a cigar box if it gets what you want then ride it like you stole it and wear it out!
