Yeah...I shouldn't have even tried to go o/l that night. Whenever I get in my cups like that, I feel the need to communicate with the world. I called a buncha friends that night, too, & got some "interesting" feedback the following day. Yeah, everyone loves it when I get like that...uh huh....SURE they do! That's why I keep it down to once or twice a year!

After looking at it several times since, I still can't for the life of me figure out what I was trying to say. I guess that just shows that there are times I don't communicate well at all, eh? I've had the urge to remove or edit that post, but I think I'll keep it up there to remind me to hold myself back a lil more next time!

Booty Posting, Calling and Texting always end badly for me. So when and if I get wasted, I turn all the electronics off! My mouth gets me into enough trouble, but I can ussually talk my way out of it!

One of our buddies is like that. He doesn't get drunk quick, but when he is... ha tells the whole world [on the phone] to fck off. And he laughs quite more often.

Went out to see that flat singer guy's newest band tonight. I was good. Didn't even get tipsy. The band wasn't 1/2 bad, but he still sings flat a lot.

Kinda irritates me to go out & see a band when I know for a fact I can do better. I need to get working again! I did talk to his new guitar player. I've jammed with him before, & he's good. I'd like to get him for TFRB.

There's another guy I'm supposed to get together with this coming weekend, to see if we can do a duo thingie for extra bucks. I could do some solo & switch off between elect & acoustic guitar & bass & even some mandolin, so it might feel worthwhile if I can keep him from using too many of his cheesy sequenced things.

Heard about a new venue to play, locally, too. Might hafta check that out, if I can keep it to a 3 set maximum cuzza the hand stuff.

I'm getting antsy again. Dibbitz! Spring fever?

Do we need to start a new thread on Funny Drinking and Playing Stories? That might let this one get back to it's original format. :P

Gee...I thought going out to see someone else play on St Paddy's Day or getting all poop-faced WAS sorta "extracurricular." My bad.

Okay...back on topic...I also play with my 3 pugs & an 85 lb lab mix.

I have a blind cat, too.

I make a great cuppa coffee.

Tonight is STICKMASTERS night! But 1st I hafta go to Hagerstown & work on a damned floor installation with that awful laminate formica-covered masonite crap that stinks when you cut it & curls up when it gets wet & you hafta glue all the ends cuz they pop apart when you walk on it. Dunno why anyone would wanna put that crap in a kitchen, but that's what they seem to want.

Has anyone ever tried playing bass while jumping on one of them mini-trampoline exercise thingies? That might be the next thing I try to do to make myself more interesting as a player. I'l call it "bassercise" or "pluckercise," maybe, or perhaps "axercise!" Might be a problem in places with low ceilings, though. Ooops! That's back talkin' about music, ain't it? My bad again!

Oh well....good morning, ppl!

So, what is the best most durable flooring?

Concrete. LOL

Hard wood is good, too, & there are lots of quite good laminates. If the price is around $2 a square foot, though, the laminates wil be junk. REAL wood laminates aren't bad at all, even the prefinished ones are good. Some can be quite pricey, too. I laid a Brazilian cherry that was about $12 a square foot, once. Went down like a dream & looked amazing. You'd never know it was a laminate if they'd left the damned v-channel off of it.

NEVER get formica flooring. It's ALWAYS crap. I DID try to dissuade the customer from using this stuff, but they have it in a bedroom & like it & are adamant about using it, & I need the bucks...I feel like I'm doing them a disservice, though, all the same.

Ah, well....off to work I go!

I've always tried to do things that will exercise the ability to do two things at once, like playing a game on the computer while talking to someone on the phone. Singing and playing means doing two things at once, so your idea of a mini trampoline while playing bass might be a good idea. Yeah, I'm getting off-topic on my own post but what the hey???

I hate that fake wood flooring too, we've installed several of them in the past year, it not only stinks and everything else you listed, it wears a good saw blade out in no time flat. We have to figure in a new blade for the mitre saw (around $90) for each flooring job.

What's best and most durable? Probably ceramic tile. Carpet may be nice but if you've ever had to remove it you know how much dust and crap -is underneath after a few years. I don't like carpet any more at all after pulling up a few of them. Last one we did was a room about 12'x14', we scooped up about half a 5 gallon bucket of dust. Can you say NASTY? My sinuses were trashed for a week...they also had a dog that peed all over the place, stunk pretty good once we got into the padding under the carpet...oh yeah what's for lunch....YUKKK....

Well, gotta go, I'm working on a sheetrock job, my least favorite of all, I can still taste sheetrock dust for several days every time. And my sinuses are trashed again, will be for a couple of weeks...no fun at all...

Oh man I feel for ya, Pete! I just finished a ceiling, & the dust had my sinuses crudded up for quite awhile, too. (I'm still not quite back to "normal.") Sure looks nice when it's done, though. Wish I knew how to do real plaster. I coulda fixed that ceiling instead of covering it.

I did think about using Durabond on it. That's what my friend does, & it comes out perfect. I just don't have the confidence to try it out yet.

My place is peir and beam. Tile wont work without cracking (so I've been told) My wife wants to do wood flooring.(oh I love the look and feel of wood)
I freaking hate doing rock / wall board! I'd rather take an ass woopin than paint. I did enough of that with Mobil Oil. We painted EVERYTHING!
