God speed!
PS: That is one ugly car!
I will for sure.
And that is my favorite car ever. I've had 17, yep 17. Yes I've been obsessed since 91. 300,000 mile average lifespan. I PERSONALLY know of 5 with 500,000 miles. Top speed of 113 even though it can get 53 mpg if babied. Mid 40's if hammered. 0-60 in 10 seconds if stock.
Mine (which is waiting for paint like that pic) has the original
1.3 liter 8 valve 67 horsepower bullet proof mazda motor replaced with a 1.8 liter 16 valve 129 horepower bullet proof mazda motor from a 95 escort GT. we used the 5 speed, wiring harness, and computer from the GT as well. That drivetrain in a 1600 lb car HAMMERS and get great MPG.
Check out what a 1.6 turbo in a festiva does to a NEW GTO!!!

I could go on for days about the festivas ruling power.... non-interference engine (break a timing belt NO problem), power to weight, massive interior room. as a matter of fact here are my 3 festiva videos..

And yes I think it is squat and tough looking. I know i'm alone here on this one. But there are 5000 members on fordfestiva.com all rabid like me. My weirdness never ceases to shock!!
