Tina Lee and Random Blues is hosting an open blues jam on Friday, March 6.

Jam starts at 8 p.m. Bring your gear. I always make a big roaster full of food for everyone. What more could you ask for - music, free food, cheap drinks and fun.

Let the good times roll!!!

If you live in the area, come on out and meet some new friends and musicians.

It's good to see some more blues people on Bandmix. Do you have any of your music you can post on your profile page? I hope your jam goes well and really hope you"re getting paid something to host it. We've got a number of jams in K.C. where the host band does it for free. I won't go to those jams (not that I go to jams anyway).

Hey Fisherman

We most certainly do get paid. We told him we would do the first one for free so he could see what would happen (you know how bar owners are) and the place was packed, standing room only and its been that way ever since. We started back in October 2008, first Friday of every month.

There were other jams in the area usually during the week and if you have a day job and start at 6 a.m. and drive an hour to work you just can't do it, so we decided to do it on a Friday night.

We will be starting another one on the second Saturday of the month at another place and we will be getting paid for that too!! This owner said he would try it for 4 months. First one is next Saturday, March 14.

I don't think I've tried to put music on this website, there is a website address in my profile and there is music up there, as well as a link to our myspace page which also has music on it.

Thanks for your well wishes, they are appreciated.

Tina

Good for you. I'm glad you're getting financial renumeration. Too many people giving this away for free in K.C. There's a blues band here that wants me to join forces with them. They do a lot of jam sessions for free. What's the point? You keep going for free and soon YOU'LL ALWAYS GO FOR FREE. Don't ever give it away.
