Roanoke? Thats WAY too far for me to drive!!
Man I would LOVE it if this comes together!!!. We could all converge on an open mic!??
And I have one in mind!!!!!!!!!!

The third street coffee house is a REALLY cool warm place. It is in the basement of a hundred year old church. You step inside and it looks like a 200 year old log cabin. There are footprints on the ceiling from the 1920's. Boy scouts use to put their feet in green paint and lift each other to the ceiling to make prints and then sign them. THe open mic has been going for 25 years +. They have an open mic (only 2 songs a piece) from 7:00 - 8:30 then a headliner from 8:30 - 10:00. I could probably arrange a night suited to this crowd where we take turns and jam with each other. It is such a nice place with REALLY nice folks. I headlined there about 2 years ago. I took video. I can't get to youtube to post links from work.

Just go here

Might'n we aught wanna rehearse 1 nite b4 going in front of an open mic-nite? I was thinking of 1 nite of a rehearsal-space, then party that nite ,sleep-over in Roanoke, then play in front of the live audience.. dont really feel like getting boo'd off the stage.. :? What's everybody wanna do? :D

It would be hard to get 10 of us together space wise. A rehearsal sounds good though. The stage will only hold about 4 so we really need to put together several acts of up to four people.

That's what I was thinking, divide up into small bands of poeple who play similar generes or experimental bands/ sounds. So far I think we Have:
-Neanderpaul
-Repressthecadence
-Eddy
-Philbymon
-Robin (?)
-#1 Collaborator (?)
-ZXYZ
I hope I'm not leaving anybody out.
If theres any more interest generated in the next few months, there may be more.
Fun stuff!

It would be smart to agree on some songs and roles in the songs ahead of time. Then we could practice our parts bfore we get together.

I'll film it for sure. With 2 cameras !

Well, chances are no one will know any of what I like to play, so I'll just pick up whatever and go with it. I'm a rhythm player primarily, and a pretty awesome vocalist if you'd prefer I stick to that (and since we have so many people interested).

Well, I only assume that because no one ever responds to what I say when I list my favorites. Here's the list again:

The Receiving End of Sirens
Circa Survive
The Dear Hunter
The Rise of Science
As Cities Burn
The Reign of Kindo

I listened to a couple of songs and the red hands song has a verry well constructed melody and some of the others are ok to. What the f**k is up with the public servece anouncement bashing the band and asking people to buy creeds CD, Thats just weired. Did you check out 24/7 spy, Its not verry typical to here it unless you go looking for it.

PEACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
