Well I decided that I wouldn't let this bullshit town full o bullshit people get the best o me, so I put a new project together...
I'm doing a 2 piece w/just me & a drummer. I did this once before but I was playing bass & singing front. We had canned our guitarist and were booked @ Stache's in Columbus "where we had our best gig ever" and we knew our fans there would be @ the show, so we did it without him. I always played through 2 bass amps: a 500w Acoustic 301 w/a powered dump bottom and pre-amp head, and a 500w Musicman w/a little distortion. So I just put a lil more distort in the Musicman to cover the guitar. It went over great and they still loved us. Man we had awesome fans for that band (Toys For Rita).

Here's the band Logo...
can you see the band's name?
so wattaya think...

Oh well, 52 views & 1 comment... must not be a good as I thought! The drummer isn't sold on it yet either and I thought he would really dig it. It's just a name & a logo and there are a plenty of em!

the drummer is a professional beginner :)
he's only played maybe 40 hours and already I'm occasionally forgetting that he doesn't know what he's doing. We got the recording gear hooked up and have already created 3 songs in 3 days; I know that doesn't sound like much but remember he doesn't know what he's doing!

Well I'm still hoping that he goes for "Liar" as a name because I like it, and that's what counts right?

I love anything that's outside the box a little. Hope it works out. I remember being in a situation where all the musicians I knew were assholes and I gave a friend of mine a bass and amp I had laying around and told him to just mess around with it. We wound up playing together for ten years and he's still a professional bass player 20 years later.

We played Staches a few times back in the day and remember having very appreciative fans there. We weren't sure our folk/blues originals would go over but the sure did.

I've gigged with me on bass singing and a drummer. It rocked out. We were called Greazed Gremlin after a hot wheels car I have. I don't like how pixelated your logo is. Too blocky. Best of luck!

The drummer from my current band Aint Yo Mama used to play just the two of us. Guitar Drums and no vocals, we did this at a lot of party situations and people loved it. Never hit the clubs with that setup. But it was a lot of fun, cause we would just bust out anything I could remember and play all night like that.

Staches was a great venue with a very open audience. it's a shame that it's a fukn carwash now.
the same fate befell "The Jockey Club" in Newport Ky. A fantastic Punk Club that hosted the likes of:
Black Flag
Suicidal Tendancies
Nirvana
The Misfits
The Ramones
The Dead Kennedys
Social Distortion
ect. ect. ect.
It is now a parking lot for yellow cab. (I went from moshing there to parking my cab there)

yeah I had to blow it up a bit Paul. I'll fix it. should look great on the black drum head!

when we did the 2 piece @ Staches we played as "Snot Rocket"

There was a band in K.C. called the SNOTROCKETS. I don't know if they are still together or not. They were a classic rock cover band fronted by one of the deejays on one of K.C.'s classic rock stations. He used to give his band free publicity on his radio program.

I didn't know Stachs closed. That's too bad. Ever play Uncle Pleasants in Louisville? Another great venue that closed. Time marches on I guess. How about The Canal Street Tavern in Dayton? That was another great room with very appreciative crowds that we used to play. It can't be too far from you if they're still open..
