Ray and I performed it prior to the full band being formed. I do not have any recordings of it.
Perhaps I can get the boys to do it as a "fun" project. If we do I will record and post. It does sound like fun to do it again. :D

Hell I will just do that, soon as were through polishing the sets for our next two shows.

Awesome! I would love to hear that.
I always did think that song rocked. especially
for The Monkees.
A metal version would kick a@$

Gogol Bordello
Celine Dion
Vanessa Carlton
Tub Ring
Spice Girls
Kathleen Battle
Judy Garland
The Descendents

Not at all embarrassed, except maybe a bit for the Spice Girls thing. I was eleven years old when they were popular; of course I was going to love them!

Hi Laura :)
Welcome to bandmix.
I love the Spice Girls too. They made some catchy tunes.
Oh my I so love Judy Garland too!
I am a big fan of female vocalists.
So do you have any samples we could hear?
Nice to meet you,

Scott

I don't think there's anything to be ashamed of about claiming any artist as an influence if you personally thought they had musical talent to begin with.

Hey Tex, I agree (I'll wager everyone else does as well)
It's more an expression of tounge in cheek embaresment in " cross genre' " listening.
Such as an old hard rocker like myself listening to Charlie Pride records.
