Well, perhaps we should have SEVERAL "meet & greets," & divide the 2 countries into sections. We can meet ppl semi-nearby, jam, take pix & compare notes between the groups. Maybe even do vids, if the hardware's available.

Just a thought.

Well, since I started this, I guess I'm going to have to figure it out..
Central Meeting Spot? My vote is for Roanoke.. Plenty of motels-(not too expensive) Anybody want to throw date(s) / times(s) out? And we'll need a medium-large concert hall or auditorium (?) Not really thought out well on my part when I posted this.

Im kinda surprised with all the people posting out of W Virginia we havent seen a major chart topper come out of the bandmix website yet. I wonder if most of you are having the same problems Im having when it comes to the dedication and commitment required to form even a half assed band. I ve been meeting and talking to a few people from this website it just seems like few have the want anymore or want to put the work required into it. And I have tried with all genres from country to heavy metal over the past ten years. It seemed a lot simpler in the early 90's and 80's. whats up with that? Probably Im getting too old for the bullshit I used to put up with. BUT...

Its just another day in Paradise !

#1collaborator, I think you hit the nail on the head. I think that interest in music has waned quite a bit within the younger generations (and those that are interested tend to be single-genre oriented). More experienced musicians don't for the most part seem to have the ambition anymore. I've personally had several bandmates who were not willing to put in any effort, simply because they thought that their age eliminated them from becoming musically successful. Sadly, it's really a waste of talent, because the truth is that the "biz" is in constant flux. Doors of opportunity open all the time.
