Hard to believe that's Mark Farner.. Not like I remembered him. I thought he did lead vox on that song.. I guess not..

LOL - Z, although I knew it wasn't Farner on the vox, I did think it was the keyboard player they'd started using. Had no idea that 'twas the drummer. He had some powerful pipes!

They lost me when they did this song. Never listened to 'em after that. Seemed to have a whole different sound & I didn't like it.

good one, Dax

Next to Ginger Baker's live version of "Pressed Rat And Warthog, THIS is my personal favorite examples of classic vidio featuring "drummer on lead vocals"

check it out....

Levon ROCKS (and Robbie can write an awsome song, for a Canadian, he seems to be more tuned in to U.S. history then most of my fellow countrymen)

Get ready has been a Howlin'J standard for years! Great crowd pleaser, whether ya do it Temps style or, the more rockin' Rare Earth version.

I honestly was not aware that the drummer sang the Rare Earth cover, but....
HERE IT IS!

Yessir!
Quite an array of grubby ol' hippies and can bashin' neanderthals there!

Did any of you drummers notice that Rivera was grasping his left stick in traditional fashion?

Don't see to much of that these days.

Rare Earth was the 1st (only?) all-white band signed by Motown.

Drummer I used to work with worshipped Rivera.

They toured awhile without him, but I guess it went in the can fast, & they brought him back.
