I made a killer chicken salad last night. Peppers (yellow, red, cayenne & jalopeno) & avacados & onions & garlic & tomatos & Mexican spices & lime & celantro & parsley & mayo & oh my it's good! (Yeah, I know...using parsley AND celantro is a lil weird, but I only had parsley when I started it, & I had the wife bring home celantro for that all-important greenery later.)
Our drummer is so frustrated. His house is still all messed up from his basement flood, & he's impatiently awaiting for the carpet to arrive after I installed the plywood base last week.
He & the guitarist were late for practice, & I was a lil rough on 'em. I should call & let him know I wasn't trying to be mean, I guess. Sometimes the teasing just hits ppl at the wrong time...oops! Still, they WERE an hour & a half late, without a call, & that kinda PO'd me!
He's also frustrated cuz he's usually so prepared, but in the course of moving everything up from his basement, he lost the CD I gave him for practice, so he had to wing it all. Poor guy. He's having a really rough time right now. Dddonnie & I are planning to go up later this week & give him a hand moving the rest of the equipment into the basement again, once the carpet's in.

Hail. I just found out our previous drummer (Herb) played with Randy Travis , and the lead singer of Yes, been on tonite w/Leno and the other-- oh uh Letterman and lots of other sh*t,, well that makes 2 out of 5 of the "Gatorr Band" out of Nashville that did good.. I'm happy for 'em!!

I got contacted by someone in here. They don't have music posted. I'm s'posed to meet him next week at an open mic - he's heard me, but I don't think I've heard him.
He wants to play Zep. I figger what the hell...if he can do it I can do it, right?
Baked a cake tonight for STICKS, tomorrow night. Never did that before. With all the cooking I've ever done, I haven't done much baking. It looks ugly. They'll eat it anyway.

We meet on Wed nites, usually. Sort of a Back Creek version of the Loyal Order Of The Water Buffalos, from the Fintstones, I guess. I've been in it for over 10 years. We wear our uniforms with pride (daishikis, & if you forget your daishiki, you hafta wear the bra on your head!), & are never to be seen without our STICK nearby. We each have our own little mottos, as well as the ones for the group. Mostly we shoot the bull, throw darts or horseshoes, drink beer & smoke, check out some tunes, eat good food (we take turns on desserts, but Dddonnie cooks these days, cuz when we took turns cooking, well, there's this one guy that just doesn't get it!), & there's usually a good rant from one or more members that's pretty funny. It's all very hush hush in the community, & of course no women are allowed unless they can service all of us! So far we haven't had any takers. LOL - I don't blame them. We're a pretty rotten bunch.
Recently I built a lecturn, or podium, if you prefer, so's we can stand & rant in style!
Our dart games have become quite inventive. I made one up that I might be trying to sell, soon, to someone interested in such things. We have monetary fines for some bad throws, & the winner of the most games in a year gets to choose how the money is distributed for the club. (I won last year, & I think we might just hafta get a mushroom growing thingie...heh heh heh...actually, I'm still trying to decide!) We've also painted up our darts with DayGlo or luminous paint & throw in black lights &/or strobe lights - our version of "Laser Darts." For guys who've been throwing for 10 years, you might think we've gotten pretty good, but nothing could be further from the truth. I think the beer might have something to do with it.
Basically, STICKS is 4-5 rednecks getting together & doing rednecky silly stuff, once a week.
