Yes Hayden... I am very glad you brought that up... its all beginning to make sense now. I mean... I don't know why I didn't see if before....

Lets see here.....

A man who is in need of musicians... (because he works with solo artists who requires band members) decides to join a musicians site where there are .... well... some "musicians".

He tells tells the musicians that he too has a website where they can join for $10/month... (another forum like the one they are on). He procedes to tell the musicians that if they join this new forum of his... they will have the benefit of:

(1) Being linked to a Label who is in great need of musicians.

(2) Also have the assistance of the site owner to help them find who they too are looking for... instead of just depending only on their own personal networking.

(3) They'd be offered an organized system that works to keep track of who joins... and encourages the coming together of band members and new bands.

(4) That they would have the opportunity to be auditioned by one of the solo artists the Label is working with at present and those solo artists that the Label works with in future compromises.

(5) That the membership fees collected from the members of the site would be used to also offer some financial assistance to the site's members.

.... and there you have it... the scam unfolded. Its as plain as day. Anyone who comes along needing the services of musicians... and offers them a website to organize their needs as well... and OMG... even charges a membership fee.... yes... my advice would be run... ITS A SCAM.

I'm going to spell this out for you's in a very, very simple manner. The site found at www.triadsterrecords.com .... belongs to me. If I want to offer it to people to use for FREE... that i'll do. If I want to charge people $10/month to use "my" site... again... that i'll do.

Now... you can call me a scam artist for letting everyone use my site for FREE.... that is fine. And... You can call me a scam artist.... because... I charge a membership fee. Thats fine too. Neither of your claims will have any real basis for suggestion... but go ahead anyway.... refer to it as a scam. As long as your happy... and you have something to type when you get here... then all is good.

There are many sites on the internet that charges a membership fee... and offers you in return..... JUST the website. You get to play with what you see.... and absolutely nothing more. If its a forum your being offered.... then the forum is all you get. Anything additional... such as networking... is of your own responsibility.

Now... I can very easily just say... its my forum (found at www.triadsterrecords.com) ... and if you want to use "my" forum... you pay me $10/month... or simply... go somewhere else. No problems... no agruements... no cares whatsoever... pay me the membership fee... or get lost. Which is what many website owners will exactly tell you. Pay them the membership fee they want... or simply get lost.

I think what messed it up for you people... was the concept that I would ... upon collecting the membership fees ... would take a moment to give a rats ass about you people... and call you on the phone to see if you needed anything.

Seriously... who the hell does that? What webmaster... upon receiving his/her monthly intake of membership fees... is going to be stupid enough to call up the members... AND GIVE IT BACK TO THEM. So yes... I can very easily see your confusion.

BUT ... my reasoning is... if I have sayyyyy 100 members on my site paying $10/month... thus putting $1000 in my pocket each and every month.... then... I think I can have a little common decency and respect for the people putting money in my pocket.... to at least try to help them in return.

It wouldn't kill me to offer some of that $1000 back. If one of my members needed (for example) a new guitar for his rehearsals... and it cost $700.... well damn. Why the hell can't I help that member. Why the hell can I not ... after looking in my hand and realizing that the money in it came from those very people... why can't I have the common decency and respect to at least try to help these people?

I can see you's don't quite understand that concept... and I can see that it completely confuses you... but your lack of understanding or appreciation for/of the idea... doesn't automatically make it a scam.

BUT... on the other hand... If I tell you... I have a forum for you to use... and it will cost you $10/month... and thats it nothing more... we'll likely start getting along.

Because thats what your used to. Sites owners offer this or that (sometimes a forum for you to use) ... and if they charge a membership fee... they take that membership fee and laugh themselves to the bank... while saying "screw you" to the members when the members are in need of help.
