George I think I recall that you guys use a Carvin Powered mixer board.

If so, how do you like it? Ive been thinking about getting an all in one board and notice they have a 1200 watt powered mixer with a sub out. Ive been asked to do a open mic musician night at a local club and dont want to haul a huge system around and was looking for something simple to use for that and just smaller gigs.

Please share the pros and cons of your Carvin, if you dont mind. It seems like it has the most power of any powered board Ive run across.

Thanks in advance, and yea I skipped church this morning. So let me have it when you get a chance.

Jeanette and I also slept in. Man I'm some kind of sinner. :D
You already know the logistic problems of possable amp failure with a powered board John. I,ve had zero problems or complaints related to my RX1200. I do wished I had threeway speakers instead of the ones I purchased. Learning curve you know. Easy to transport and set up using there little amp stand.
The four 300 watt amps seem to work real well for me. I feel that as my experience grows using it and the independant eq's, the better sound I will coax from her.

Thanks George, has the mixer been reliable? Im not looking to make this my main system just a simple backup rig for smaller gigs.

I have had no problems out of her at all. Very pleased with my purchase John. Been using and abusing her a couple of years. Not so much as a hiccup. I dont believe you could go wrong with one of these systems for what you intend.
