My friend Kyle Perkins was killed last night in a fall from a highrise dorm at the local college. He was participating in a training exercise. Kyle loved being a FIREMAN.
I met Kyle back around 79. He was the drummer in my first band.
Kyle was a good man, a husband, and father.
He played drums as mentioned and sang as well in barbershop style quartets.
This was not the kind of man this country can do without.
May God comfort his family.
May he rest in peace. I will miss him.

Sorry about your friend, sans. It might sound trite, but at least he was doing something he enjoyed when it ended for him. I couldn't wish anything better for my own end.

Thank you.
Kyle was a good man with a family.
He died doing what he loved. What more can we ask of death?
The training incident that claimed two lives that day was a tragedy and a serius blunder apparently.
When all is said and done I am sure his family will make out ok financially.
But nothing can replace a friend, husband, or father.
Damn shame that.

Thanks Jess. I'll be fine pray for his family.
Funny though me and Mike are the only two left of the ol band mates.
Allen and Kyle both went home in the last year.
If death comes for me I'm gonna slap his ass around some.
I got music to play. :D

Of that I am quite sure Captn. I hate that my friend's memory would be sullied by such. But it would appear his demise was quite senseless.
Lawsuit is not something Kyle would want I believe. But I am convinced he would approve of anything that would help save anothers life in the future. And when dealing with govenment entites nothing talks like money.
