I saw that special on Les Paul. Or something simular.
When I was a young un we were always amazed at the old guys who were playin the bars and rockin the stages. Now I'm the old guy.

This thread also reminded me of that monk who sang heavy metal stuff in an Italian band. And he was like 70+.

There's also a 2007 documentary called "Les Paul: Chasing Sound" that I watched on Netflix about Les Paul that was absolutely wonderful. I highly recommend taking an hour or so out of your lives to watch it. I learned alot about him I had never known before.

ST, have ya seen that great documentary called "Standing in the Shadows of Motown?" I HIGHLY recommend it. There are some aged rockers there, too. A lot of the ppl I would have considered heroes if I'd had the opportunity to ever know who the hell they were until I saw this one! Long live the Funk Bros!

Dude I went from Nursing management to working as a gunsmith for $11./hr.
But this was at choice. I love my job. I work with my hands and actually see projects to completion. If the economy keeps going to hell in a handbasket I may have to go back to being a Nurse.
As for now my ol lady is working her ass off 10 - 12 hrs a day Mon thru Fri. and were doing ok.

Yeah this factory job in electronics iz 12 dollars an hour.. and I'm hoping to get in!!! -- Tough times --
