When I was a young un we were always amazed at the old guys who were playin the bars and rockin the stages. Now I'm the old guy.

As long as you can rock....keep rocking. I didn't answer the poll. I don't think there is an age limit.

There's also a 2007 documentary called "Les Paul: Chasing Sound" that I watched on Netflix about Les Paul that was absolutely wonderful. I highly recommend taking an hour or so out of your lives to watch it. I learned alot about him I had never known before.
If you have a netflix online subscription, you can watch it online here:

ST
ST, have ya seen that great documentary called "Standing in the Shadows of Motown?" I HIGHLY recommend it. There are some aged rockers there, too. A lot of the ppl I would have considered heroes if I'd had the opportunity to ever know who the hell they were until I saw this one! Long live the Funk Bros!
Oh Wow!!
This thread has given me new hope, and I'm only 53!!!
Good of you to pull up the references/links, ST. Les Paul still Rocks!!
And so does the Italian Monk!!! Awesome!! I always thought that you had to "make it" in the music biz when you're young and purdy, but now I know different! I also didnt vote 'cause yeah; One more vote for "outta my cold dead hands"

Dang it man. Get your glasses fixed. Some of the UUUgliest mugs on the face of mother earth have "made it" in rock.
The electric guitar has gotten more homely scrawny weiners laid than alcohol.
I never understood all the women screaming and stripping for a stage full of zit faced jokers with the physique of a 12 year old girl.

Dude I went from Nursing management to working as a gunsmith for $11./hr.
But this was at choice. I love my job. I work with my hands and actually see projects to completion. If the economy keeps going to hell in a handbasket I may have to go back to being a Nurse.
As for now my ol lady is working her ass off 10 - 12 hrs a day Mon thru Fri. and were doing ok.
