) BUT, what I DO KNOW from yrs of being in raod bands IS.The Drummer IS gonna be the most likely "problem child" with drugs, women, emotional issues. etc.Demographics dont seem to matter.Ive lived in 13 states, toured 38 , Canada and Mexico and keep arriving at the same conculsions about the distinguishing characteristics lableling players.I think all drivin people have an imbalance that will manifest itself to qualify as "weird"to those who socierty deems as "normal"BUT, the line is getting more blurred all the time.WEIRD is becoming the NEW NORM I think. Those of us who know we arent "quite right" and dont seem to fit into societal norms know this early on. Being a Drummer at 8 yrs old pretty much doomed my teen yrs.Full blown alki at 18..
Bass players that I knew in 75 are still layed back like a mud duck ..dont give a F***
...Keyboard players were pricks then , their pricks now.Never could put my finger on the Gtr player???..(mixtured of all to some degree). But yeah, nowdays , how dare someone call a musician weird???.Just watching youtube for an HR should show that we need a new word depicting weird. As musicians, we no longer rate. We've been upstaged.
