on the "just got" side of things...last week I bought a Daion Power xx guitar from a friend on kvr...so far I just have this one pic (it's the redish one)

Image

I'm replacing those oversized aluminum knobs and "freshening" up the guitar some... will post a couple of pics when it's done (especially the back)...this is beautiful guitar, incredible craftsmanship. It is a neckthrough, and very slim. Daion is a company from the early 80s that unfortunately (or maybe fortunately for collectors) that didn't make it long. I have read other people who say if you find one snatch it up...I agree 200% :D

Wow my wish list...... as jobless as I am, I want a Squier Obey HSS Stratocaster Electric Guitar, just because it looks sweet, its cheap in a way but its moderate on its tune. Even though I cant play guitar pretty, (btw does any one know all their scales and where can I find a website that has them without paying?) well I have this thing to buy a guitar.(maybe it talks to me I dont know) but embarrassing as it maybe I happen to own one from Target I got it for 91 bucks lol. It packs alot and my strings are in tack, one problem though while I was in band practice the strap broke off and the knob came loose, Now I need to repair it  also I need to put new strings on my acoustic yamaha (any strings suggestions there?) Since Im a vocalist I want have a Squier 4-Channel PA System, seem affordable, and decent. As for amps I would say .....a Fender FM 65 DSP 65 Watt 1x12 Frontman Combo Amp, it was the first amp I tried on my guitar. I feel in love with the sound, and the control I had over it. Im sure theres other amp out there that is better than that though.

Wow 1500 clams? Couldn't you have bought a PRS for that?

eh, a good PRS runs like 2000, unless you get the cheaper $500 model..but still.

i like the looks and features better on the SG.

for one example, on the SG you can have a different volume/tone setting for each pickup, and then switch back and forth. you can have one pickup on max volume and one on low. great for muting yourself quickly by just flicking the switch. on the PRS, you can only have one setting (theres only one volume and tone), so switching between the pickups will never give you a drastic (albeit noticeable) difference. ive also heard the finish on PRS's is very thin.

i want to replace the neck humbucker in my Epiphone Sg copy with an actual Gibson humbucker and drop in a Jazz pickup at the bridge.

i also want to replace the stock bridge with a Baddass II bridge and add a fuzz nob, just for kicks and cuzz i love fuzz.

that's why i don't shave.

...my face.

Not to mention wishing for a double neck guitar .... There was an Epiphone SG double neck at GC recently. I picked it up and tried it out (no way I would strap it on!) It was really heavy and the arm/hand angles to play either neck were just all wrong for me.

I need a good quality thin body acoustic electric for our side project.

But it ain't going to happen as long as I'm propping up half the deadbeats in the US.

The Epiphone Dot (Dot Studio is the same, but only 1 set of volume/tone controls) is an inexpensive semi-hollow body guitar, but you need to'go through' any in stock, as Epi quality these days is a bit hit-or-miss.
IF you are capable of doing a good guitar set up check out the guitars at guitarfetish.com. Despite the Chinese origin, these are good deals. One of the guitarists in my Beatles band had the semi-hollow body, looked nice and sounded great, others have praised these guitars, too. I played one of the LP styles at GC a few months back, played real nice.
