I really suck at blues improvisation. Just pentatonic scales do not cut it for me. There is so much more to it then meets the eye.

You too do have a point. Indeed the DVDs I have is a brake down of what those guys play and how they do it. It is interesting of cause. It just feels that I am missing something. Something important and I just can't put my finger on it. There is a blues track that I struggle with for sometime now. I can play all sort of stuff over it that is in key and all, but, it just does not get off the ground and fly. May be I just do not have it - who knows. But I believe it is just I am missing something obvious. Whatever I play just does not sound like blues to me.
